A CLEARING UP OF SOME MISCONCEPTIONS BEING USED AGAINST ME

A)you people keep using that I said serbia was roman agaisnt, me good job people, you just happen to use somthing thing that was OOC, or did you not notice that? it dosetn count numb nuts (and that goes to everyone who is using it agaisnt me)

Umm, this stuff is now IC, I wrote it that way anyway, lol, so it can be used in the game as needed

B)Portugal sits here trying to insinuate that I jumped on the chance to attack aragon, i didnt, this has been planned for ages

C)yes, Rome dose claim everything under the danube as UNDER IT SPHERE OF INFLUENCE, that means I'm trying to secure the best TRADE DEALS for Rome, not expansion

To All Europe, the midle east, and North Africa, if not the world

ally with Rome, and gain your freedom from portugese tyranny and dominantion- how many of you have voiced your opinions against them when talking with me? now is your chance to strike back, and rid yourselves of the portugese yoke, many of you know what you must now do, those who are the allies agaisnt portugal, many of you have done as you have needed, and yet many did not do a thing, now is your chance to strike, and make good on your word.

and to those in which all these developments coem as a surprise- throw your lot in with Rome, and be treated as an equal, not with th eportugese, who treat you as a dog, win your security and prosperity, not the domination by portugal that will come, as it has with all others, when you ally with them, they seek only to make themselves richer at the expense of others- no more! let our peoples co-operate for the benifit of all, lets us gain victory, and properity from the corpse of the vile enemy portugal- Rome extends its invitation of alliance to all who would oppose portugal

no, they are an eqal member- thats why it is a COMMONWEALTH, all are equal

To Rome
From China

Would you be interested in starting a lux. route?

To: China
From: Rome

yes, though currentlly, certain diplomatic difficultires require Romes economy, for the time being, be spent else where, however, Rome invites china to start aluxury trade rout with it, and rome will start one with China as soon as Rome can manage it :)

okay, I edited the post so they are ;)

to Rome:
B)Portugal sits here trying to insinuate that I jumped on the chance to attack aragon, i didnt, this has been planned for ages
Than why didn't you striked befor? You aited for the weakness. Of me or Aragon... Mine dind't came!

C)yes, Rome dose claim everything under the danube as UNDER IT SPHERE OF INFLUENCE, that means I'm trying to secure the best TRADE DEALS for Rome, not expansion
Thats makes it better? SO your saying they are your vassals that no one else should talk to only you until you decide trade is not enough and attack them?

You allies ill neither backstab you and leave, or are jusr poor and weak to fight... You should choose allies that won't break the turn they send men... You forget Tripoli has Carthage to worry about to ;)

And what makes you think other will join any side? Both sides are aggresive (I atleast admit). I ask no one realy to join... I didn't say I'm pure... But The last thing anyone coul agree is that Rome THE AGGRESOR IN THIS WAR is pure...

To: Portugal
From: Tripoli

Yes, it appears that we are.

to Tripoli:
I truly wonder why... Too bad I didn't listened to my allies and deleted you from the world... I guss I have another chance now?

To: Portugal
From: I 'll give you one guess ;)

But The last thing anyone coul agree is that Rome THE AGGRESOR IN THIS WAR is pure...

I think thr following quote expresses the exact sentiment of the people I "invaded"-

The populace rises up in celebration of the Roman liberators.

Than why didn't you striked befor? You aited for the weakness. Of me or Aragon... Mine dind't came![/b]

because, i didnt have an aterick, or a good economy before, it just happens that all this has come at the same time

Thats makes it better? SO your saying they are your vassals that no one else should talk to only you until you decide trade is not enough and attack them?

no, i'm saying that I'm trying to make sure that Rome gets the best trade deals with southern europe, not conquest, or vassaldom- vassaldom in particuler is offensive to me, as it is little better then slavery or peasentry, both of which offend my own (real life) morals- so no, I will not be conqoureing them, not unless they, liek portugal, piss me off so much that there is no alternative but to show them that hey, we're all equals, weather you like it not

Oh that is such bull****.

1. I gave my orders before Erez

2. Caravels are faster than triemes and especially ancient luggers

3. Portugal set up a blockade of Sparta, not the Byzantine coast. I specifically said in my orders that the caravels were to leave for the Byzantine coast immediatly, but apparently it's a lot easier for a gigantic navy of slow rowing ships to travel across the whole mediterranean sea, win an enormous battle halfway, succesfully cut off all possible routes of escape from a small lightly populated self sustaining island with no previous trade whatsoever, and hunt down faster vessels already going in an opposite direction than it is for 12 caravels to succesfully evade a hastily planned blockade by traveling a distance 12 times shorter. What the **** are these Jason, "Supertriemes"?!?

I fully agree... who said his navy was there? (I don't want this sea battle if somone don't get it ;))

Tought AAminion... The blockade is ONLY on Sparta. Greece gave you food just not enough... and others don't want to give you food...

Look at Sicilian invasion. They invaded an Island WITHOUT BOATS AFTER LOOSING THE BIG SEA BATTLE!! They have been sweeming to Sicily!

A) the peloponesse has the single largest area in all greece of farmable land, and was one of the major reasons Sparta won the peolponesian wars, as it was not dependent of forgn trade

B)I actually orderd my army to go to sically first, THEN block the striaghts, either way, the northern striaght is small enough to bridge in modern times, thus crossing it without a large navy is not an issue

This NES seems to be degrading into a few arguments.:(

Sorry but I still think Jason completely screwed up here.

1. Why would Greece help me. Only a turn ago they practically threatened to invade me.

2. Sicily is the same thing. Roman ships were already there, and that's how they conquered Sicily. Your troops came after Sicily was already conquered, but reinforcements weren't able to come to patch up the blockade in time so you won the battle.

3. Why would a blockade of the sea worsen my trade? I never had any trade to being with, and there was never any indication, nor reason to believe, that my food was dependant on shipments from other countries. I don't think there is a single example in history of something the size of Sparta being blockaded and starved to death. A single coastal city, such as a Constantinople or Granada I can understand, but an entire peninsula just wouldn't happen. In fact, if my geography serves me correctly, the Spartan land mass was very rich and sustained it's own population. It was the rest of greece, hilly and mountanious, such as Athens that had to depend on grain from the fields of North Africa and the fertile crescent. This is really no different than blockading, say, Ireland. Maybe you'd depriv the people of luxuries (modern times), but you wouldn't starve them.

Japan to Yamato: If its war ye want its war you'll get! We cannot wait until we are able to laugh in your faces after you lose thousands of men while trying to invade us.

Japan to China: If you could lend an economy level or a couple hundered men, we would be grateful.

Orders

Continue the game, Jason, even if it's only weekend updates.
I don't know about the stuff w/ the Sparta blockade, so I can't really say who I think is right or wrong or whatever.

They don't like you, but trade is still lucrative.

I get 25 or so sets of orders. Do you really think I can do everything completely accuretly and chronologically correct? How about the Portuguese left before your caravels left? Ever thought of that? The order inwhich I recieve orders has no impact on the order of events.

And I know everything? In fact, I did not know this. But I will not go back and change it. Why? Because if I went back and changed something like this everytime I did not know something, I would not be a MOD anymore. Plus, I did not say the entire populace was starving. It is just those who can't afford the exuberated prices now that food is more scarce. And if you read the rules, you will see that there is trade everywhere, you pay only for the priority trade to get money every three turns.

To Somalia:

We signed peace and a 10 turn NAP. You are trecherous swine. I will personaly see to the destreuction of your nation.

To all African nations bordering Somalia:

It is obvious that Somalia is untrustworthy and wishes only to conquer all that surrounds her. I ask you to immediatly once again go to war with Somalia and teach her the lesson she deserves.
