1. This was planned for quite some time and you know this. It's only logical to assume that with Portugal's declaration of war the caravels would hurry up to get the heck out of there. Even if the Portuguese did leave early, how could they have gotten tangled up in an entire naval battle that Sparta knew would happen and wanted to be a part of yet still arrive in time to completely destroy my navy.

2. I don't excpect you to know everything, but comeon, put yourself in my position. There's no reason my ships couldn't have done at least half of what they set out to do, yet you not only block this for inexcplicable reasons, but completely destroy them and starve my entire country. After all the planning I did and time I put into this (ask anyone of the others) I'd excpect something to work for me, not for everything to go up in flames without any logic behind it.

3. I never excpected you to change it, nor would I want you to. I'm not going to leave the NES because of this, and I really don't want the update to be any different than it already is. I just want to make it clear that what happened to me was complete crap.

Make one thing clear: I do not reward people with victories because of how long they spent on making a strategy. Yes, usually more time on it works since you have hammered out more problems, but sometimes it doesn't. Anything could have happened to hold up those caravels - a storm, bribed general, sick Admiral. Anything.

Now, since you do not want me to fix anything, I see no reason to continue to argue, if not only for hte sake of arguing. Next time, how about keeping this to yourself, especially if you did not want to have anything fixed because of it.

The invasion of Thrace was a partial success. The main objective - securing the northern Danube and the city in the area, and, thus, a sea coast to the Black Sea - had been attained. The less-significant goal, however, of gaining a little more territory just south of the Danube had not been reached, however, as conniving Thracians destroyed north-south bridges and regrouped at strategic crossing points. Good thing the Byzantines also invaded from the south, so the Thracians were unable to push back into the occupied territories. The Byzantines were apparently able to take about 6 times more land than the Poles managed to take, which has caused some unhappiness in the Polish leadership - the agreement with Byzantium was that we each get what we each are able to occupy, and the Byzantines were able to secure the land just south of the Danube for themselves. While this was good, since now Poland's southern border was friendly, there was also a little bittersweet feeling because of the fact that Polish ambitions included this exact territory.

The Emperor decided that he was satisfied, however, with their main objective. The captured city was renamed from its old Thracian name (whatever it was) to "Danuberg" (Couldn't think of the real-world name for that location on the map), and would serve as a new port for a Polish Imperial Navy.

The tariff program undertaken by the government had paid off, as the economy experienced another boom. The program would be continued until the Emperor decided it could no longer bring as much profit.

In more internal politics, the son and heir of the Silesian King, Crown Prince Karl, and the daughter and only child of the Russite King, Jadwiga, marry. Within weeks, Jadwiga becomes pregnant with the child that will be the future of Poland. Their progeny may inherit the dual throne and may become not only the King of Silesia/Emperor of Poland but also at the same time King of Rus, binding the two kingdoms even stronger within the United Empire.
