Ramses V Pharaoh looked out across his city of Memphis, to the shimmering mediturainian sea. enven in the dim, reddish glow of the pre-dawn light, the city was allready comming alive. many of his people were already awake, awaiting Ra to rise from behind him.
to his north, toward the harbor, he could see several gallys rowing out into the harbor, allready unfurrling their sails to catch the morning wind.
to his west, he could seer several hundred workers headding toward the Great hall of knowlage .. (really, he had to think of a better name for it.). only it's base had been layed sofar, but eventually it would be filled with scroll, each filled with knowlage gathered from around the mediturainan. only the base had been laid down so far, but his tomb was already build underneath it. a sutible resting place for his body, when he fianaly gose to join Ra. and it would benifit his people also. Even his Jewish ones. even from here, he could tell the diffrence between them and the others workers headding toward the hall. about 2/3rds of the workes had stoped and turned to face him, awaiting the awakening of Ra. but the jewish workers, ever picular in their worship of Ra (really, he still hadn't gotten a clear answer on why called Ra by that picular name, God.), continued on. still, they were hard workers, and excelent scolars.
And to his east.. ah well, he always loved this part, Ra Awoke, and Ramses V Pharaoh's shadow was cast across his city of Memphis.
The Day had begun.
