stJNESX: From Bad to Good
Update 11: 1000bce
The city of Haisha is built in Canaan, on the shores of the Euphrates. While not a very populated town, its importance to the people of Canaan grows as the farmland around is among the most valuable in the world, paid for and maintained by the King. From here, a road has been constructed to Sidon, where the port is expanded just to hold the amount of grain flowing through here. The grain is then shipped mostly to Cyprus, but some do make it to Greece, where it is sold by Canaan merchants. Profits flow through the port of Sidon, the farmers, and the merchants, fueling the economy and entering Canaan into a new field: the field of merchantry.
Baalism begins to leave the lands of Canaan, spreading to Egypt and the pagan lands of the east, and even into Nuion. While the priests of Baalism have begun to convert the pagans, as they choose a more relaxed god over the Egyptian New Revival, the priests in Egypt are hung for practicing a false religion, and the expansion into Egypt is close to nothing.
The Akkadians, wishing to nationalize the Egyptian New Revivalism, has decided to warp the religion to their ways, and bend it around Akkadia rather then Egypt. This has cause widespread remorse, many New Revivalists refuse to worship the way the Emperor wishes, and for the most part, the Akkadian Revivalism temples are empty, and the attempt has failed. However, the people remain loyal as a new constitution guarantees more freedoms then hardly anywhere else in the world. Then the emperor launches a surprise lightening attack into the Saracen Empire, attacking from the north while landing a quick chariot army to the south of the capital. Caught of guard, and caught from the behind, the Saracens are unable to defend their capital, and it was taken, along with the King.
Losses:
Akkadia 300 swordsmen, 50 charioteers
Saracen Empire 150 clubmen, 200 archers, 50 chariots
The Novgorodians, playing their old cards once again, establish trade outposts with the Germans to the north. The Germans, at first, met with this as an invasion of their lands, but soon learned it was of good intentions, and have since then extensively traded their iron, gold, and furs for grain and other food goods. Both peoples are benefiting greatly from this, and the Novgorods even gain an economy.
The Austrians, utilizing their huge iron stores, build many swords and shields for a new mighty army, the mightiest the Austrians have ever seen. One general, however, decides that it is he who wants to be king. With a loyal army for one thousand swordsmen, he soon marches on to Vienna, where he is to place himself as king.
The Salento capital is captured, and had to be burned to the ground because of the resistance. Who has done this? None other then the duel kingdom of Corsica and Sardinia. The relaxed and outdated soldiers of Salento had no chance against the battle hardened men from the two islands, and succumbed to their initial attacks at the capital. However, as if a miracle, the Salento have been able to hold the full army which landed in the west on the beach with archers laying down a huge rain.
Casualties:
Corsican and Sardinia 50 archers, 100 swordsmen
Salento 300 clubmen, 50 archers
The Chinese Emperor, placing a new law into affect that nobles cannot tax more then 20% from their peasants, is murdered, presumably by a noble or some assassin hired by the noble. However, the law is kept in place as the son ascends to the throne, as well as many of the other orders the emperor had seen fit to give, including the trade of 3 galleys for seed to the Wu. Many were unimpressed with this, though, since they have plenty of seed. However, it was distributed free outside Xian, and a few more farms were planted due to this.
Takiran and Angle forces progress rapidly in Gaul, as the Gaulish pull all their soldiers back to defensible positions. This proves very effective, as huge walls are built around the city of Paris, and nearly 1,000 swordsmen and many archers are held up inside, protecting it. Already many, many Angle and Takirans have died trying to take the city, and still many more yet before it is taken. Unfortunately for the allies, the city is well stocked with food and water. Meanwhile, in southern Gaul is taken easily, as most of the soldiers not in Paris are defending the path to the capital.
Casualties:
Angle 400 legions, 50 archers
Takir 600 legions, 55 spearmen
Gaul 250 swordsmen, 50 archers
In Nuion, nobles rise up in every nation, trying to unite the four states into one. This rebellion is harsh, and is expected to be quelled with many lost lives.
As the Bulgar economy falls into depression, the largest army on the face of the planet is raised. No one knows exactly what it will be used for except for the Bulgar king, but currently it is gaining experience by quelling the Macedonian insurgents who rise up every once in a while.

"Not one man can change a whole people." - Lao Tzu, Chinese Philosopher.
The night was old, ancient as some would say, as Sing Chi crept in teh shadows, hidden by his keen skills and wicked mind. His foot steps made little more noise then his beating heart did, and even that was too loud for his taste. He had taken a remedy to slow his heart beat earlier that afternoon, and it was less then satisfactory to him. For he was an assassin, master of the silence, deadlier then the gods themselves.
He was now outside the emperors door. Nothing but the wild crickets made a noise, and as he held his breath he placed his hand upon the soft wooden door, and with his other hand, he unlatched the wooden pole that kept it closed. The door, having been notorious around the palace as unusually loud, made no sound as the assassin pushed it open, inch by inch. Before he slithered through the small opening, he peered to his right to make sure the guard was still unconscience. Satisfied, the murderer slid in with his snake-like moves.
Once inside, he could hear the unbelivably loud snore of the man who was supposed to be semi-god. The man who had stolen literraly pounds of gold and grain from his employers, and not to mention his own brother at home. Walking towards the emperor, he caught a glimpse of an open window. Smiling to himself, he asked himself why he always had to do it the hard way...through four guards and three doors as opposed to an open window. He shook his head, and used all his strength to keep himself from laughing.
Soon enough he was over the body of the most powerful man of the Chinese. Slipping his hand between his dark cloak and his waste, he withdrew a knife, the smooth, cold blade sparkled when the moonlight of the open window bouced off it, and when the assassin rose it over the body. Quickly and without a second thought, the knife slid easily through the chest, between the ribs, and straight into the lungs of the emperor. Gasping for air and quickly awake, the stabbed man made feable attempts at grabbing Mr. Chi, but with a hole in a lung, he was unable to be successful. Speaking his first words of the day, Sing Chi quitely spoke, "In the words of honorable Lao Tzu, 'Not one man can change a whole people.' Goodbye, emperor." And with that, a second jab was made, which pierced the rapidly beating muscle in the chest, first freezing the emperor, and finally forcing life to leave him. The job had been done. China would not ever be the same. Correcting his first mistake, Sing Chi hurried to the window, and was soon a part of the night.
