stJNESX: From Bad to Good
Update 3: 1800bce
Events:
A major army is formed in the city of Bangkok and outlying villages. This army, mostly of Siamese nobility and men who were lucky enough to get in, is led by general Chinra, the most famous man of Siam, save King Mongkut. This army is not just for show, Chinra has led it right up to the Mekong border, and after a ceremonial sacrifice, the army began the Mekong War. Most of the Mekong did not know they were being invaded; the peasantry greeted and even some times quartered the soldiers. But Mekong did respond in a furious action, throwing every man they could at the Siamese rank, only to be shot down one after another by the well-formed archers. Most of the Mekong army still survives, and awaits their kings decision.
Chinese farmland in previous uncultivated lands.
Farmers among the Chinese peasantry begin to fully develop their farming skills and technology when they are given land for free and told to make something of it. The warlords who rule over the peasantry also invest much time and money into developing an organized way in which to work their land. Writing is developed, a totally different system of advanced pictographs and numerical signs.
A huge population surge in Angle-Saxonia has resulted in the surplus labor that helps to farm and mine more for the island. This, in return, strengthens the surplus of which to trade to each other and trade to the Picts in the north. This is only expected to last a few years, just until the Picts begin to catch up in population.
The Kievens, being desperately alone, finally find a fight in the south when the tribes of Crimea unite to drive them back. At first, the initial battles seemed to be in favor of the Crimean, who defeated many Kieven expansion parties. However, a constant surge of men has proven that the Kievens are much more numerous and powerful then the Crimean tribes, and the peninsula is finally occupied. Kieven settlers and native Crimean flock to the new trading establishment on the great river and sea of the area, in hopes to make a fortune like no other.
Roman soldiers make their way south, in which they conquer most of the peninsula with only minor battles against the native Etruscan tribes. Meanwhile, the population of Palmero explodes with the investment into agriculture around the city, and a whole new unique culture is developed in the free times of many laborers. Palmero even creates its own militia guard of 300 spearmen. Other Roman colonization occurs on the islands of Sardinia and Corsica, but none have a city in its start such as that of Sicily. And even on the island of Corsica, Roman soldiers and settlers are met with competition with the Massilians who also land here.
The Gujarati are finally stopped in their endless wars in the Indus Valley by a tribe that matches them in strength, the Aryans. From past wars in the Indus valley, the water is red, or so told about in tales of the battles. Hundreds of Gujarati have died, and thousands of the nomadic tribes of the Indus have died as well.
A Canaanite Hyksos War Chariot
As the invading Canaanites dredge deeper into the lands of the Hittites, they are constantly harassed by the famous Hittite chariots. However, the Canaanite Hyksos chariots finally begin to challenge the Hittites, leading the Canaanite army into the unknown lands. In the battle of Mesit, Hyksos Chariots prove their valor in standing up against a Hyksos chariot squadron more then double their size, and finally defeating them. Then when the Hittite club men finally meet the main Canaanite in battle, they are very intimidated by the iron sword that the King bares. This victory ensures the future victory over the Hittites by the Canaanites, plus the invasion in the east by Assyrian armies.
The city of Troy is established in Anatolia by the Athenians, who master the art of colonization by observing the Minoans and Cypriots. However, boat loads of settlers to the south, to reach an imaginary land, are never heard from again. It is thought that the large storm in the Aegean sunk the boats, but nothing is known for sure.
A Celtic army lands in the lands of Africa to finally begin the expansion of the Celtic Empire in Africa. However, it seems it wasnt meant to be. The land is very populated of numerous tribes, whom each have an army the size of what the Celts have landed. Luckily the tribes are untrained and still use stone tools and weapons, giving the Celts the advantage. However, it seems the Celts are unable to expand, and only loose many lives.
The Minoans make landfall once again on their island of Crete to reclaim their homeland from the invaders. Full of patriotic feelings and moral, the Minoans fight much harder then they did in Sparta, and force the small Cypriot army in Crete back. The capital, Knossos, is recaptured and established as a stronghold against further Cypriot attacks. All in all, the Minoans fight very harshly, inflicting much more losses upon the Cypriot army then vice versa.
