stJNESXX: The First Chapter

What Jason said. For the record, I'm from Norway. Norway and Sweden have this love/hate-relationship, common to many neighboring nations.

I want to keep culture different on the continents...he wants a chinese civ in the northern one instead of the southern one and would screw some stuff up.
In that case you should place me on the southern continent, somewhere along the river in the centre south.

Kentharu, if you don't anything creative to say, stfu.
I concur, I damn damn damn concur!

I'll wait for the first BT update, things got too confusing by the time I got here, and besides SOME civilizations have to appear on the later stages to beat the old ones up. ;)

Well, I'm back. I'll write some stories for Carnatia hopefully soon. I just have to catch up on the threads.

I want to keep culture different on the continents...

Speaking of culture, I suggest that, after the first BT update, you add a culture map, showing the cores of the main cultural groups (you know, "West European", "East Asian", et ceterate), and in lighter shades the areas under their influence. It would make things much easier especially for those who will join in later.

Is it too early for stories?

Chronicles of Ophir: Book 1

Ophir, city of stone on Landa’s shore
Where river waters into the ocean pour;

Sailing ships from near and far
Bring their goods to the bazaar
For lively chatter and rich trade
And opportunities for profit made;

Metals from the hills around
In the marketplace abound:
Copper, tin, silver and gold
Their life's stories yet to be told;

Logs and timbers on the Landa float
Providing wood for many a boat
Trader’s goods and their strange ware
Catch the eye and make people stare;

Prancing steeds from the northern plains--
The fancy ones have plaited manes
And braided tails entwined with streamers—
The crowds around are mostly dreamers;

Ezad, the King, our city’s ruler
Walks in shade to keep him cooler;
At his side, half behind a bejeweled fan,
The loveliest of all the land, his fabled queen, our Roxanne.

Ophir, city of stone on the ocean’s shore,
To which endless bounties pour.
