WORLD NEWS UPDATE 8 - SEPTEMBER 1902
Ural War
Russians manage to get some artillery cannons and bombard the Mongolian trenches with artillery fire, weakening them severely and smash against the battered troops, gaining much ground.
Incursions are also made into the Tatar Nationalist Republic, but the Tatar Nationalist Army fights back more fanatically than that of Mongolia and only some frontier areas are taken by the Russians.
In summation, the Russian offensive was a success, and important headway was made towards the Mongol capital.
On the Eastern Front, the Mongol and Korean generals have agreed upon a temporary cease-fire with the Chinese Socialist Republic, and the Korean government has declared that it recognizes the communist regime as the rightful government of China. Mongols continue attacking Republican China and are almost at the gates of Chengdu.
Russia - 60,000 troops, 2 Hvy Artilleries; Poland - 10,000 troops; Mongolia - 100,000 troops; TNR - 10,000 troops; Republican China - 40,000 troops
Tatar Nationalist Republic invades Mongolia
The Tatars have invaded Mongolia! They have managed to surround Ulaan Baatar and have gathered quite a following in the villages and towns near the Mongol capital because of their nationalistic rhetoric.
Other than the capital, the Tatars have also taken with much ease, and picked up new recruits into their fledgling army along the way, much of Siberia, especially along the banks of the Yenisey River.
Mongolia - 30,000 troops; TNR - 20,000 troops
Chinese Civil War
As more of Republican China falls to the Mongols, the communist armies from the Socialist Republic have crossed the quasi-border and invaded into the unhappy countryside still under control of Chengdu. Little resistance was met from the locals, except from the wealthy landowners and the army, who attempted to fight the communist attack but had mostly lost their "heroic" resistance. As the Jinan armies are passing through the Yangtze land, they organize Social Revolutionary Committees in each region to coordinate social and land reform. Part of this social reform is putting into labor the aristocrats. About 400 landowners deemed by the Committees as "too wealthy" have been herded into confinement in the slums of Guangyuang, from which they are going to be sent to work on the rice paddies or to labor camps on the coast.
Meanwhile, within the Republican capital itself, the Premier, his advisors, and several important delegates of the Parliament have somehow escaped confinement and have escaped the city. The culprit who arranged the escape was a businessman afraid of communist domination, and he has been shot by the protestors after a torturous interrogation in his own home. He revealed that Kir-chi and his companions were heading south. The protestors still are not allowing the Parliament to leave unless it betrays the destination of the runaways and sues for peace with the Mongols and Koreans.
The USEA has invaded into southern China, fighting the communists as well. The Socialist navy has also been destroyed.
Chinese Republic - 30,000 troops; Chinese Socialist Republic - 40,000 troops, 700 ships
Russian troops begin withdrawing from Kazakhstan
At the request of the Kazakh Constituent Assembly, the Russian troops have begun withdrawing from Kazakhstan since order has been restored. The troops that have been there for so long are heading for the Mongol front.
Elections result in split of Turkestan and Turkmenistan
Election results have prompted a peaceful separation of the Turkestanis from Turkmenistan. The elections to the country's first parliament were done regionally, and in the Turkestani north, it was Democracy that triumphed while the Turkmen south has chosen Communism. In the National Assembly, this would result in a political deadlock, and the founders of Turkmenistan realized that it would be impossible to govern such a divided country.
In the first session of the Assembly in Ashgabat, the Turkmen Communists and the Turkestani Democrats agreed to part ways and Turkestan has been carved out from the northern part of Turkmenistan with a capital at the port city of Aqtau. The border separating the new state from its "mother country" is only tentative, however, as there are some regions within Turkestan that are inhabited by Turkmen, and vice-versa on the other side.
Central European War
The Germans have begun a thrust from Prussia and Switzerland against the Austrians in Alsace-Lorraine and have regained control of the area, once again separating Belgium from the rest of the Triple Reich. German armies have also invaded into Bavaria, meeting little resistance from the overwhelmingly pro-Prussian locals. The Austrian Army has put up quite a fight, however, but Munich still fell to the enemy armies.
German armies also crossed into Bohemia to help their allies against the Austrian invasion. This support has allowed for a great counteroffensive and the Austrian armies have been pushed back across the border.
Poland has also joined in the fray, invading Hungary's South Slovakia province. The Hungarian troops put up a good fight there, but the small border region has fallen nonetheless, and the Poles have continued further south towards Budapest.
The Italians have withdrawn from Tyrol, and from the war itself, ceding Gibraltar and Carthage to the USEA, the exotic new land giving a boost to USEA's general economy.
In Belgium, the Belgian provincial government has surrendered to the USEA after tales of mass murder and destruction in resisting towns spread to the capital. The Brussels government has ordered the Belgian contingents of the Reich's army to lay down arms and surrender to the USEA, and has "authorized" an occupation of Belgium by the foreign troops, as about 400,000 reinforcements land on the shores. Some Belgians surrender immediately. Others go renegade against their own provincial overseers and turn eastward, invading Germany, where the locals themselves have armed and assisted the army greatly in defeating the Belgians.
Triple Reich - 2,100,000 troops; Bohemia - 20,000 troops; Germany - 800,000 troops; Poland - 400,000 troops
Second Great American War
The Norwegian-Swedish have invaded Italian Maine, and have taken about half of the colony.
An attempted incursion into the Caribbean however has resulted in disaster. A major hurricane struck and sunk half the Caribbean-bound fleet. The surviving 250 ships, with half a million of the original 1 million army barely alive, are dead in the water, dazed and confused by what happened since they've never witnessed a hurricane. Engineers are also attempting to repair the surviving fleet, but the plan to invade the Caribbean has to be postponed.
Italy - 200,000 troops; Norway-Sweden - 250 ships, 750,000 troops
North African War
Icelandic troops have invaded Italian Carthage, just south of the new USEA-controlled portion. A very tough resistance was put up by the colonial army, in addition to the fact that the Carthaginian army knows the area so for the most part the land taken was coastal territory.
Iceland 1,000,000 troops; Italy 500,000 Carthaginian troops
Bhinduism, a hybrid of Buddhism and Hinduism takes hold in USEA
As part of a program to unite the Siamese and Indian peoples of the USEA, the government and religious leaders have merged the belief systems of Siamese Buddhism and Indian Hinduism into a new hybrid called Bhinduism. Across the country monasteries and temples begin undergoing changes to facilitate the new faith.
Nationalist demonstrations in Budapest!
Nationalist demonstrations have broken out all over the Hungarian capital. They have been sparked by widely-circulated leaflets claiming that the Austrians are dominating Hungary and taking its independence away using a façade of unity and power.
Italian Parliament passes anti-immigrant laws
The Italian Parliament, influenced by the Mata Hari incident and the rising nationalistic Fascist Party, has passed a series of laws restricting immigration and limiting the rights of immigrants already in Italy. This can cause strain for Italys relations with Libya and Mauritania, as there is immigration flowing from those countries into Italy. The laws are mainly targeting the Swedes, however, as the war with Sweden and now Iceland drags on.

Amon, if the new border in Carthage is wrong, then its not my fault because I did not see anywhere a detailed description of the new border, nor was there any map that I saw. When significant border changes occur, the players have an obligation to do a map, so that on the update its done the right way.
Azale, are you starting AGAIN? Its really getting annoying. A PM has been sent warning you.
