StKNES5: A New Lease on NES

Perfect. The stage is set for a revolution. Now, for my grand societal experiment!!!

To Ruthenia and Lithuania
From The Eastern Aristocratic Republic

For centuries we have done nothing but bicker and fight among ourselves. Despite the fact of how close our people are by blood, for some reason we can do nothing to improve relations among our peoples.

Ruthenia has the strongest military of us all, and yet it is also the most heavily damaged portion of our area. Just recently gaining their freedom from the Tartar invasions, they have decided to give their crown to the old Russian Czar. While we believe this to be a mistake, we have said nothing about it. We have one question to ask the nobles who placed him in power: why put your life in the hands of others? Why bow down on one knee to a man who is no better than you?

Lithuania, on the other hand, had been spared the devastation of the Tartars and remained relatively intact. But, unlike Ruthenia, they have yet to elect a permanent leader and have been so since the revolution of old. While the largest of us three, they are also under the most scrutiny and , possibly danger. If a war breaks out between Lithuania and Scandinavia, Scandinavia with her allies would most likely win.

Apart we are weaker than just about all other kingdoms in Europe. But, together we would prove a real challenge to any invading army. We wish to stand arms in arms with our brothers, not spend our times bickering about little issues. So we must ask every noble in the lands: why submit to another? What makes these so called “kings” better than you, more worthy of leading a nation? We say nothing makes a king more important, other than the big head that sits on his shoulders. So, we propose a new union. A union among brothers and equals. A new union to take us all into a new age.

The treaty of Moscow, as proposed by Eastern diplomats.
1.) The unionization of Lithuania, Ruthenia, and The Eastern Aristocratic Republic into a single Eastern state.
2.) The merging of the Ruthenian. Lithuanian, and Eastern armies into one single force, led by an elected general.
3.) The division of all lands into provinces, which will be ruled by a single noble. That noble in turn, would meet with the others in the capital to determine a noble to represent them to the world.
4.) The extension of all rights held by Eastern nobles to every noble in the new lands.
5.) The creation of a new capital, Volgograd, in the middle of the country.
6.) The destruction of all tariffs and other trade barriers among our lands.
7.) The division of the Imperial Senate into two houses, one higher and one lower. The higher shall be made up of every noble in the land, while the lower would be met up by two men appointed by every noble.
8.) A new constitution to be drafted by the higher house at its first meeting.

We hope you will all accept these terms. We hope to continue moving forward, not get caught on issues in the past.

Signed Vladimir Petrksolvky, 1st minister of Foreign Relations.

Darkening, we don't have constitutions yet. Nor do we have republics or democracies, I've been waiting for Kam to say we can for quite some time.

human player stats are done, with the exception of trade bonuses

The Revolts had gotten worse. Kuala Lumpur itself was suffering from unrest.

The Nurajid kings were mad, thought many people. This is no war of retribution, it is a war of conquest.

It is around times like this that people look for leaders, and cling to them.

One of such was Niriz Naryan.

Niriz was a longtime scholar, well known for his theories on society and societies. He had predicted the outcome of this war. And he had been fervently opposed to it, not only being a Pacifist but a half Australian.

His theories involved the abolition of class, the equality of all those who walked the earth. Only then could peace and harmony be brought to the world.

For years, Niriz had been quietly gathering a considerable following. Men in the army and navy, people all across the nation, from Chittagong to Fiji.

But Niriz was a man of peace. The mad kings of Malaysia would have to give up soon...

Brisbane. Former capital of Australia, the Imperial Commonwealth, the Democratic commonwealth; all the way through its history, it had been a capital. Until now.

"Zazj! You just killed that man! He was unarmed!"

"I've had it with 'don't harm the civilians! If they fight, they're not civilians!"

"But if you kill them, you'll just incite more rebellion! You'll get caught in a cycle of killing!"

"Kill them all then!"

"You can't singlehandedly destroy Australia!"

"Watch me."

"You're mad!"

"You're deluded by talks of peace. Go back to your farm, child."

"I've been in the army for a decade more than you!"

"Yet I'm more highly promoted. Guess why?"

"Nepotism, princeling."

"That's it!" roared Zazj, drawing his sword. The other man fumbled for his weapon, then was run through.

"I prefer to call it 'Noble heritage'. Have a nice time with your friend." Zazj kicked his fellow soldier's body next to the dead Australian, and strode off.

Violence, the toxic byproduct of humanity. Peace is the only filter that nullifies it.

“Hold her steady!” Yelled the captain as he grabbed onto the ropes for the sails, the huge mast had puffed out to full capacity but now it had to be tied down. “All hands to Starboard! Move lads come on!”

Quickly Captain Morse sprinted from mid ship to the stern, taking a hold of the helm (man this ship stuff is confusing!) and turning the ship port side. A huge wave splashed onto the side of the ship, spraying everyone with sea water and almost throwing one man over-board.

“Fasten the lines mates! Come on lads she’s a prototype we don’t want her to break just yet” The Captain shouted over the roaring waves. Men scrambled around the deck of the ship, securing the lines for the sails. The captain spun the wheel around in an effort to turn the ship away from the jagged coral rocks that glared at the ship. Wooden planks groaned and creaked against the raging sea, another wave exploded over starboard side. Some yelled man overboard, life lines were flung over the side of the ship, and men scrambled to the side. Another wave smashed against the ship, tipping it dangerously to one side before it swayed back. Finally the crew pulled the man back on board and they scurried back to their duties.

“This isn’t working, the sails look like they are about to rip, MEN! Get those sails up, hoist them out” a collective groan came from the crew “You heard me, get those bloody sails up!”

After a few moments of grumbling the crew went about taking the sails down, all the while battling the constant attack of waves and whipping winds. Men climbed up the masts to tie the huge sails up. After a few minutes they got the sails up and the ship stopped tossing so much in the winds.

“Alright, skipper keep this girl side ways like and keep her turning, we can get out of this hell hole of a storm if we stick through I” The captain hoped down onto the deck as the first mate took over.

“How’s the view up there!” yelled the captain up to the crows nest.

“Pretty damn hellish Sir, but I’ll survive”

“Well next time get down from there when ya see a bloody storm come rolling in”

“Aye Aye Cap’n” the man yelled down before disappearing into the little bucket like nest.

“How’s that mast holding?” asked the Captain

“Looks to be holding up ok Cap’n, but it could use a bit more support, you should tell the engineers about it”

“Yea them and their snooty “mathematics” nonsense” The Captain chuckled and then headed off towards his cabin “You have the helm Mr. Garot, make sure this girl doesn’t break on me”

“Aye Aye Cap’n”

It had been ten years since the death of Frederick Barbarossa and his son Henry VI had inherited the thrown. His son was determined to cement German dominance on the continent of Europe and push Germany's influence far from her borders.

He immeditatly set to the task of building strong German unity and upholding past German military heros. His father had achieved unification and began the construction of Berlin.

Berlin was to be the center of Germany culturally and economically. The city would be filled with buildings and statues depicting great German heros of the past. Also, the grand palace of Germany was to be centered in the city which would hold present and future monarchs.

As Henry VI's reign began he was destined to bring a new power to the continent of Europe. He also had some ideas destined for the future of Europe not just for Germany.....

Kamilian! I wait all this time and you don't even answer my VERY IMPORTANT diplo to the Andes Republic! :twitch:

From Andes Republic
To Amazonia:
We will not reunify - there was a reason our forefathers strove for our independence and established our nation.
However, we are open to trade and NAP, so long as you convince the Illinois Empire to stop threatening to attack us in defense of you, despite the fact that we never threatened or even suggested starting a war with you.
