The USA has already exited its age of isolationism when we colonized Africa so many years ago. We intend to use naval bases to protect our intrests in Africa as well as Asia. But setting up naval bases in the Australasian sphere of influence is out of the question. You may stop at our ports if necessary, or build your own non-military ports, but American naval bases in the Indian ocean is out of the question.
