I didn't want to post here.

I really didn't want to post this message.

But, I feel like I owe it to you, so you don't go agonizing for the rest of the damn summer, and after your initial spasms of rage, you can get over it and move on in NESing, and hopefully so can I.

This NES is quite dead. It lost momentum before update one. Starting an NES during the freaking school year is the stupidest thing ever. I just noticed something now, something I should have noticed in the bloody beginning.

My first NES was started in summer. Even though it sucked, it also lasted longer than all my recent ones.

I learned, and states lasted even longer. I learned from that, and III lasted to become one of the most glorious NESes of modern time; one of the top 10 in terms of posts, even higher in terms of views.

Then the dark times came. I just didn't keep III running because of all the animosity, hatred, and backstabbing that proliferated the NES, the grudges that were held for turn after turn.

I became stupid after that. I started an NES in the middle of a school year. That died on arrival. I suppose I should have learned from that. But I didn't. I started another, DOA. Another, DOA.

Why the hell I didn't learn is beyond me, and I'm sick of shifting blame to quitting players.

This NES is all my darn fault. I commited one of the stupidest acts I ever have, three times in a row. I can be smart most of the time, but it seems like this school year I was just an arrogant dolt.

Please forgive me.

The school year ends in a little under a week. Thursday afternoon, I'll have most of the time in the world, minus that time I spend on the joys and pains of RL. I might start a new NES. I might not.

After all, I might get murdered in my sleep by one of my players.

And now I can't really say I could blame them.

Sorry, please forgive me for my evils.

Nope!

Oh, one thing I forgot to note (why the heck I'm venturing out again when people are like to kill me...), if someone else wants to try taking up the mantle and moderating this NES, go ahead. I'll tell you everything you might want to know that's not in the stories.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARN. Just as my elven supremacist war machine was about to make its first step to making humans extinct...

Ah well. Indeed, stNNES III was your finest hour; I think you should try to revive it one day.

As for this one... well... things happen. I do hope that one day you will manage to mod a NES that actually gets off the ground again; your NESes are great... as long as they DO make it beyond Update 2. Gather your forces, rethink your ideas... and then, when you have enough time AND COMMITMENT, start another NES.

Nope!

seriously, why can't you continue this nes when your holidays start, I had been waiting for this since the pre-nes thread     ......

*Sigh*

Because it all just... fell apart...

:(

You see, it's the sort of thing where I write this enormus backstory, and realize the rest of the NES is never going to live up to what I intended for it.

all my previous NES's have the same fualt. all except the one I'm currentlly moderating; its early yet, but I have a feeling wi will do well due to the simplness of the rules, the effectivnes sof the the rules (everything is time-tested good) and nature of the NES that you going in, and making history anew.

Where's my Luger P-08 godamnit,its North King hunting season.Argh!

NK, promise us you must revive this in the summer!

I can't and won't do that. The backstory is simply not made for an NES, this would be better suited to a amssive story. If someone were to set something up like the one Panda did a long time ago, that would fit better, I think.

Nope!
