my suggestion is the epic of gilgamesh; had to read it for my humanities class 'round a week ago; very, very short- but very cool (depends on teh translation- like with most other such things go with any copy solg by "penguin" books, in paper back, because those translations are almost always litteral; eg, they make sense rather then being a bunch of poetic fluff in english) its actually a very deep little story when you get to thinking about it.
This NES is nothing compared to stNNESIII. Now that was spammy. This thread is relatively free of spam.
NK's NESes tend to attract spam because he posts high-quality updates rarely instead of low-quality updates regularily, and so the NESers get bored and start arguing about a historical oddity, then it degenerates into calls for the update and a general spamfest. We are nearing the point at which NK steps in with a wonderful update and the spam ends for a week.
