stNNES8: Empires in Flames

Yeah, I'm sorry guys, that it's taken this long for me to figure out I can't moderate an NES.

Consider my modding times done.

Always the same...

The Panda Imperator declares that the Otters are to be anti-mattered to oblivion

For all your accusations and comments, why don't you try and mod a NES alex? :p

I will! After the recent nesing frenzy boom settles in. I have a great idea (one of das's timelines) which I'm making stats for. Industrial! France is weak ;)

It will die. :p

You mean France or the Industrial Nes :p

That's it. The penguins and the otters are in a state of degraded relations now. It might lead to war.

Oh well.

That's blasphemy, NK. You really shouldn't regret the death of ITNES I now - for this sort of stuff alone I feel quite compelled to ruin your nation but can't get my hands on it. And this time, I'm (almost, as it still goes against modding principles...) serious.

Self-criticism is a good thing, and as such is only good in limited amounts. Your NESes have a nasty tendency to die, but while they last - and at least two of them lasted for a fairly large amount of time - they are definitely among the best out there.

Yes, you have problems. Everybody does. The two main problems with your modding are: a) over-burdening (the same goes to Jason, btw) and b) lack of free time. Your rules are great, but they can be quite a pain to moderate - I would never have been able to make a single update with so many things that need to be done. When you have the time for it, you personally can, however, deliver updates - not as soon as promised, though promises of such a nature are rarely possible to keep, but still, after a while, they appear, and they are inevitably worth the wait. But when you either aren't in the mood (my fault, probably) and/or don't have enough free time, well, your NESes die.

But, ofcourse, whether any changes in modding style are needed or not is up to you. Personally I just hope that you will reconsider this and once more take up this difficult, ungrateful - yet rewarding in a different, unique way - job one day.

No, screw it, I'm done. I'm sick of trying to meet the high standards of players and failing to meet them even as I fail to meet my own--on top of it, losing 5 hours of my life every week to something which has lost its fun. I'm sick of the unrealism, the stats, the thousands of things I have to keep track of. It's a wonder I'm not quitting NESing altogether.
