Wei Dynasty
The Wei Dynasty made 4 attacks this day.
Cao Ren, second son of Cao Bu, led an invasion into the northern east Wu, and area of Tok known as the Jing Province.
His army defeated the defensive Wu Empire easily, and finally joined the split apart territory of Wei.
Cao Dian attacked Shu territory which lay in the Jing Province, in concert with his brother Cao Ren. His offensive was also successful, the Shu army being far away battling at Tian Shui.
Cao Bu himself led the defense of the Western Wei, a province known as Xi, with the assistance of the Lord of Xi Ma Chao. The Wu had launched an attack against the Wei here. Cao Bu was forced to retreat away and lost the coast, and the western part of Xi. Ma Chao was not pleased.
Finally Cao Cao led the attack on the Shu based in Tian Shui. They had heard the Shu had dared to gather an army on the plains, within Wei territory. When he arrived he did not expect what he found. The Shu had erected a large fortress. His attacked the fortress and was defeated by Liu Bei, Lord General of the Shu army.
Wei Palace, Xu Chang, Xu Province
Cao Bu, more than ever looked old. He was slumped on his throne, looking exhausted, rubbing his temples as if he were in pain. Overall the day had been a disasterous loss for the Wei.
Sharing his fathers annoyance, Cao Cao throws his helmet to the floor at the foot of his fathers throne.
"Damnit!" He exclaims loudly, "I cant believe those damn Shu scum erected a fortress within OUR territory so quickly, without our knowing!"
Both Cao Dian, and Cao Ren have to restrain themselves from laughing, and Cao Dian comments, "We cant believe our vaunted General Cao Cao lost..."
They both grin as Cao Cao glares at them, Cao Ren gloats, "We both won what was wrong with you Cao Cao? Did you need your big brother Cao Ren there to watch your back?"
Both brothers laugh this time, and Cao Bu's head snaps up and he glares at them.
"Be silent" He barks at them, "He was trying to seige a well defended fortress without adequate equipment, we would have lost that battle no matter what we did, our only consolation there is that the Wu-Shu alliance is dead, now we can pit one off against the other..."
As he is about to continue the throne room door bursts open, and a messenger hurries into the room and rushes over to Cao Bu, dropping to his feet before his Lord, he struggles to catch his breath.
"My Lord Cao Bu, our vassal Guo Jia and our other vassal Cai Mao have declared war upon each other" He pants out
"WHAT?" Cao Cao whips around to glare at the messenger, "What do you mean the Warlords Cai Mao and Guo Jia have declared war on each other?"
"I, I am sorry my Lord Cao Cao" The messenger trembles, "They have withdraw their forces from the Wei army to fight each other, it is a clan war"
"What clans battle?" asks Cao Dian, at the same time Cao Ren says, "This couldnt have come at a worse time"
"Cai Mao is lord of Xu Province, Zhuge Liaos homelands, and Guo Jia is lord of Hei Bei province in the west" Cao Bu explains to his eldest son, frowning deeply, "You are right Cao Ren this couldnt have come at a worse time, the last thing we need is a clan war within Wei"
"Messenger" Cao Cao lifts up the messenger and looks into his eyes, staring with a fierce determination, "You will go to Cai Mao, and Guo Jia and inform them that his Imperial Highness Cao Bu demands they report to Xu Chang"
"Yes, yes my Lord" The messenger nods, squeals a little when Cao Cao drops him to the ground, nods some more before scurrying off out of the throne room.
Wu Empire
The Wu Empire launched four attacks this day.
Sun Li led an offensive against the Xi province of Wei, which was defended by Cao Bu and Ma Chao. She delivered a humiliating defeat upon the Wei at the battle of Fan Zheng, and enabled Wu to seize the entire western Xi.
Liu Zhang, the Lord of Jing Province led the Wu defense in the north against a Wei invasion. His army was defeated at the hands of Cao Ren.
Zhou Yu led the defense of Wu from a Shu retaliatory strike into the Jiang Dong Province of Wu. This attack was led by the Shu Warlord Zhao Yun. And it was a loss for the Wu.
Finally Sun Quan led his army to Tian Shui to prevent the Shu from completing their fortress in the region, and thereby establishing a base of operations for both into the Wei and Wu territories. Sun Quan regretted betraying his friend, but he felt that the Shu had succumbed to the same Imperial dominations as the Wei. Sun Quan arrived to find the fortress completed and under seige by a losing Wei army led by Cao Cao. He waited for Cao Cao to retreat before launching his own attack, the defenders nearly capitulated, but in the end they held and Sun Quan retreated.
Wu Palace, Xia Koa, Chang Jiang Province
"Why?" Sun Li shouts, "Why did you attack Shu?"
Sun Li, sister of Sun Quan, stands before her brother, glaring up at him defiantly, in front of the entire court of Wu, in the middle of the Xia Koa Palace throne room.
"I am sorry my sister, I know how fond you were of Zhuge Liao but I had to prevent them from building that fortress at Tian Shui" He tries to explain, "With that fortress they hold a very strategic area of Tok and can invade both Wu and Wei very easily"
"They could invade us both anyway!" Sun Li glares at him, "This is just betrayal!"
"I am inclined to agree with the Lady Sun Li, my lord" The voice of Zhao Yu enters the conversation, "Of course I will follow my lord unto death, but still it is betrayal..."
"You do not understand my sister" Sun Quan smiles at her, "Zhao Yu do you?"
"Of course my lord I do" Zhao Yu nods.
The sound of footfalls can be heard approaching the Lord Sun Quan, from the main throne room doors, the appraoching figure stops near his Lord and speaks at an opportune time.
"My Lord Sun Quan" The man bows before Sun Quan, "Trade with Galal and Tenile via the sea has begun, we have set up some small landing camps on the coast of Panthalassa to facilitate sea going movements, near the Jemniko colony in the Galai barbarian lands beyond the lands of Fu and Nanman"
"Ah Gan Ning" Sun Quan smiles at the man bowing before him, "Welcome home, It is good that the trade has begun"
Gan Ning is Sun Quans Naval Warlord, controlling the navy and all sea going operations.
"Good now we discuss our next movements..." Sun Quan says.

The Shu made three attacks this day.
Zhao Yun, Warlord of Yi province, led an attack on the Jiang Dong province of Wu territory after the Wu attack upon Tian Shui. He was successful in defeating Zhao Yu.
Lord General Zhuge Liao led the defense of Shu ruled Jing province from the Wei attack by Cao Dian. The Shu lost this battle, as most of their army was either with Zhao Yun, or Liu Bei.
Liu Bei led the defense of Tian Shui fortress. A newly erected fortress within Wei territory, built by the Shu to establish control over the area. He held the fortress against an attack by the Wei General Cao Cao, and the betray invasion by Sun Quan. He ordered Zhao Yun to invade Wu from Yi Province.

"We have done well" Liu Bei smiles at his cousin, "Although we lost at Jing, we gained at Tian Shui and Jiang Dong"
"Yes cousin" Zhuge Liao smiles, "Although I am happy about that, I am still stinging from loosing at Jing"
"I Know cousin" Liu Bei smiles, "But it does not matter, we shall regain it later, Hinoan and Tenile support will do a lot for our cause"
"My Lord, Zhuge Liao!" Lord Zhao Yuns loud voice calls from across the room as he enters, "I have news from Wei"
"Oh?" Zhuge Liao inquires, "What news from Wei territory?"
"I have heard my lord that Lords Cai Mao and Guo Jia war with each other, causing Lord Cao Bu great displeasure..." He smiles widely, "And even better I have heard Ma Chao of Xi province is willing to defect to Shu..."
Zhuge Liaos mouth drops open at this news and he is unable to speak, thankfully Liu Bei speaks for him.
"Ma Chao?" He asks, "The great Ma Chao of Tian Gate?"
"yes sir" Zhao Yun nods enthusiastically
Zhuge Liao and Liu Bei exchange thoughtful looks, and then smile at Zhao Yun.
