The map I am using was created by Lord Parkins.....it is a 80x80 of earth and a great map :goodjob:

the first link below is the scenario and the other 2 are in game screens

updated the scenario......99% of civs have rubber and iron......you will need to trade for coal and oil in the scenario

If some one could tell me how to put the screens up with out zippin them that would be appreciated.......I also want to change the leader heads to the flag of the countrys........Like the conquest games............if anyone could help with this.....show me how or show me a utility so I can figure it out my self

If you leave the screenies unzipped, people will be able to easily view them from the site. (Most people don't like having to download and then unpackage files just to view a screenie. ;) ) EDIT: To do this, you just need to save them as JPEG files.

Sounds like an interesting scenario. :)

EDIT AGAIN: Hmm, isn't this the "completed scenarios" forum?

Yeah this is completed forum, but I have noticed people postin early to get feed back and suggestions........hey thanks alot on the screen shots

Um, just a comment, dude... the map is WAY unbalanced just left as it is. Resources will need to be replaced if you're going to do the civilizations like that. ;)

more info dont understand unbalanced......I put lm terrian down for nation like in europe.....5 gold 5 commerce 5 shields are the stats...think it is too much

Well, each civ needs reasonable access to at least some of the necessary resources and luxuries. Otherwise, they're not going to be able to build much. ;)

ok i see.......will look it over this afternoon and post a update with changes....most all have iron and rubber already.....and the others I figured tradin would come in to play... like oil and coal

No one likes the small map I guess..........It was worth the try.........fast loadin and turns

It's a little TOO small for that many countries, I think. I know it's gotta be hard as it is, but you probably shouldn't have any open space and countries should have at least 2 cities unless they are truly tiny (Poland, Israel). It's a good concept IMO, but I'm strictly a player and I don't think I've ever opened the editor at all.

There is a simple way of installing leaderheads that doesn't require editing the pediaicons.txt file. You just have to rename the flags appropriately and put them in the right Arts subdirectories (which you would have to do anyway).

There are four directories, which should contain the following files if you want to replace the Viking leader:

Arts\Advisors
x_ragnar advisor.pcx

Arts\Civilopedia\Icons\Races
x_ragnar civpedia lg.pcx
x_ragnar civpedia lg.pcx

Arts\Flics
x_ragnar diplo ancient bwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo ancient fwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo mid bwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo mid fwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo indust bwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo indust fwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo mod bwrd.flc
x_ragnar diplo mod fwrd.flc

Arts\Leaderheads
x_ragnar victory angry sm.pcx
x_ragnar victory beatup lg.pcx
x_ragnar victory beatup sm.pcx
x_ragnar victory happy lg.pcx
x_ragnar victory happy sm.pcx
x_ragnar victory heart sm.pcx
x_ragnar victory heart tiny.pcx
x_ragnar victory kiss lg.pcx
x_ragnar victory kiss sm.pcx
x_ragnar victory neutral.pcx

If you leave out any of the files, you will just get the the fault ones. So, if you're only interested in the modern era, it makes life simpler. Also, you may not need the last ones, which only show up at the very end... Good Luck!

u probably have a good reason for this, but y aren't all the NATO nations alllied? it would probably shift the balance of power way in the favor of the NATO nations, but it's more lifelike

For game play issues

I have also accepted that I am not that great of a scenario builder  So I have gave up on this scenario unless it sparks more interest but I doubt it due to the fact I am in the minority of liking small maps:lol:

But thanks for all the feedback I got and didnt get:goodjob:

Each to his own tastes, I reckon. :) I made that map when I was really into the smaller maps (in fact, I made one even smaller than this one! ), and many people still enjoy this type of map despite the inevitable inaccuracies from such a tiny scale. Personally I prefer larger-ish maps now, myself... though I can still enjoy playing this one. :)

@Strhopper: This is one of your first scenarios, I'm guessing? In that case, don't worry about it - you only get better with practice! :) Everyone has to start from the bottom and work their way up - whether it's civ3 modding or pretty much anything in life, really. ;)

I like your map. Haven't played it yet but I like the idea of a small world map. me and my buddies play hot seat and I hope your map is a lot of fun. If you need some pointers just reply and I'll play it out and try to help ya.

Small word maps? :mischief:

(See my sig!)

I probably won't play this - too much other things to do - but I don't think the basic idea is bad. But you should probably have fewer civs - one obvious course of action would be merging the EU countries into one.
