Subdued Animals in C2C discussions

Here is a Walrus. Please make it spawn Walrus resources like the bison spawn bison resources.
 
Wouldn't it be better to use something similar to what bonuses have that restricts spawning of a bonus to an area but does not specify that that area has to be somewhere specific?

Can we restrict resources to old world/new world? I have north and south working (mostly). If we could have old world (Europe, Asia and Africa), New World (Americas) and another (Oceania) that would be cool.

Map regions may do. iirc a map region is a continent/land mass and associated islands.

As I have said before I would like to have the 4 "zones".

Eurasia = Old World + Northern Hemisphere
Africa = Old World + Southern Hemisphere
Americas = New World + Northern Hemisphere
Oceania = New World + Southern Hemisphere

Having it this way would give each "zone" their own unique animals in all types of biomes. For instance Oceania would have kangaroos for desert, penguins for tundra, cassowarys for jungle and koalas for forest.

Penguins exist up to the tropics and South America has a different set of animals also. Otherwise OK.

It depends upon the species of penguin. Emperor Penguins live in the polar regions, Rockhooper Penguin live in both polar and rugged biomes. If I posted say a Galapagos Penguin then it would not have live in tundra but more scrub or even barren biomes. Note they are the only penguin to live in the Northern Hemisphere (just above the equator).
 
I found some animals that imho look a bit better than the ones already in the game.

WoC Animal Module Pack (their Camel to be specific)
Jaguar
Tiger (I apologize if this is the same model used for the C2C Siberian Tiger but I couldn't make them out)
Animal Empire (new animals?)

Thanks. Most of those are the ones we use. The WoC camel has the problem of its saddle and it fires arrows. ;)

The Animal Kingdom link is broken but I think I got most of the animals from there already.
 
The following is based on public v18...

Okay so I'm testing playing on Monarch and all 49 of the other Civs were smothered by the (raging) Neanderthalls. So I'm on a me only contient and the place is packed with spawns. So I'm map scouting by rogue and slaughtering my way through the hoards... occasionally I get a subdued animal that is mauled to death near instantly. Not an issue in and of itself but... whenever I do subdue something all other animals on the square are obliterated from existance. They aren't in any of the squares around me for at least two spaces and I can't find the rest of the animal hoard. Apparently they are so suprized by the abrupt conversion of their brethrin (by nothing visable) they all suffer spontanious existance failure.

I've also had a recon unit (this part may have been v17) with subdued animals in tow wading through barbarians and then had an animal in the stack resubdued... which punted me to a clear space 3 tiles away. Although this was rather handing for my mauled units... I feel its worth reporting.

I've also had animals attack my recon units and get subdued (public v18 on this one). Said newly subdued animal spawns on the space it attacked from with alarming frequency. Not on the recon unit's current spot. I can't tell if there were any other units on that square, but if there are they were obliterated. This makes me more glad animals can't attack into borders (mostly) as I'd get a tiny influence bonus from defeating the animal and a larger loss from it getting eaten by random hawks and eagles eat the newly subdued most of the time.
 
When attacking a big stack of animals, one is going to be subdued or give stuff, but others sometimes just disappear, and attacking unit goes to that tile.
 
Much work has been done on spawn rates for v19. I also managed to get the subdued animal to appear under the capturing unit more often. It should be happening all the time but it isn't.:(
