Sucession game #2 - tales of the Greeks

Hehe I feel like I have no idea what is going on in this one lol, I haven't looked since my last round. I am kind of interested in the Game Of The Month, I recommend everyone check that out also.

Skipping to FlubberDubs

Good luck improving the lousy Greek infastructure.

Well we do have our work cut out for us, our cities stink! Oh well, not much to do but started catching up on your infrastructure, going Temple, Library, Marketplace, Cathedral etc. Maybe right to Marketplace would be better considering our economy.

1220 - Got beat to Leonardo's Workshop and had to switch to Cathedral.

1265 - Got education, then researching a direct shot to Democracy

1290 - Got Music Theory and Astronomy with the Aztechs for Ivory and 310 gold.

Other than that, not much, workers still working, building infrastructure. We are doing ok because we have the most land! This is always important! Good luck!

Up next - Nanook

Not much to do except infastructure, and trading. Check for trading agreement that we can get more from.

Tis a good thing that building up cities is my favorite part of the game lol. I love just sitting back and building up cities with every improvement for centuries. I don't have time tonight to play, but I'll definately get it down tomorrow afternoon.

Nothing much to report. Traded for Printing Press, discovered Banking and started on Democracy. Made some deals to export luxuries, as well as some deals to import some. Lowered the tax rate in order to increase science signifigantly while still gaining gold per turn. Built quite a few city improvements here and there.

I will do my turn tonight.

Lee comes back. The Greek economy is much stronger :) We switch to Economics to try and get Smith's Trading company. I change from mines to forest by Thessalonica.

Our big worry - Aztecs. Stronger then us in culture, score, and maybe power.

Summary -
20 turns on building, trading (gaining several techs for luxuries). I am working on 5+ banks to set up for Wall Street. Everything is about building economy. DON'T trade economics. Smith's trading company in progress. Build more units. Miltary tradition on its way. Build up cash so that we can upgrade to Calvary. We now have all musketmen except the island.

Who set the frelling workers on automate! Way to many useless upgrades being built ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Does anyone know a way to permantly shut of auto workers?

I set the workers on automate. I shift (A) because frankly I wouldn't enjoy the game if I had to control 30 workers. They do upgrade alright, but yes they don't necessarily do the most important stuff first. To take them off you have to right click on each of them.

Up next - Ohwell

If I don't hear from OhWell by tonight, he will be skipped.

FlubberDubs - You may begin your turn tonight if OhWell doesn't respond.

CornMaster, I know you dropped from one of my other succession games. Let me know if you plan to play.

I'm damn tempted to wait for the patch to come out!!! Mwahahaha!!! I hear it is probably out tomorrow? I haven't actually seen that from any reliable source however.

I am downloading the patch as we speak. I suggest all succesion game players get the patch BEFORE moving, so that we are all on the same version.

I suspect you already downloaded the patch.

Should be a easy set of turns. Improve cities and get the trading company. If we get the trading company, the Greek economy will finally start heating up.

The big decision we need to start thinking about is what type of win can we go for?
