Suggest a *Good* but also weird movie.

Where the Truth Lies, starring Colin Firth and Kevin Bacon.

Cube 2 must be one of the weirdest movies I've seen. It's so weird it aint good... It's like a mix of mathematics, portal and saw.

The Man who Stole the Sun is a great japanese flic about a science teacher who makes his own atom bomb, the holds his country hostage to get TV baseball broadcasts extended (and more stuff, but that's the gist of it!) ...if you can find it....

Delicatessen is a great movie. (EDIT: It's French with subtitles).

the city of the lost children (french again)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112682/

it's a movie by the same guys (one of them went on to make le fabulin destin d'amelie btw).

i think they actually just wrote delicatessen because they couldnt put the money they needed for city of lost children together yet.

delicatessen is awesome nonetheless.

Burn After Reading is pretty weird, and quite funny. The straight parts with the psychiatrist off Law & Order are the best parts, as he tries to figure out what the hell is going on, along with the audience.

I can't believe that neither I nor anyone else has mentioned Plan 9 From Outer Space yet. It's the epitome of weird-yet-good.

No. No, it isn't. It's the epitome of weird but very, very bad. It's often thought to be so bad it's good, but if you actually sit through the whole damn thing, you find it's so so bad it's good, it's bad again.

It doesn't even have the distinction of being genuinely the worst film ever made, as anyone who's endured Xanadu will know.

I think Plan 9 is the only film ever made that is so bad that good, bad, then back ll the way around to good again. It's by far the weirdest crap I've ever seen, and entertaining for that reason.
