Suggestions and bug reports.

Ok thank you very much, will my save work with new patch? I am on 7.4 (started with 7.3). Thebes giving me a very hard time, need the Sons of March asap! :) Gameplay full of combats, events and weird things in my playthrough but all working fine apparently (the fog of war is not game breaking). Overall everything look pretty stable congratulation!
 
Pretty good to hear! Unfort. the patch 7.5 will NOT be save game compatible. Since two days I've changed too much in XML stucture. Yesterday I put some new (special) buidlings into PAE with effects on certain civics. So much too complicated for an "old" save game ;)
 
patch 7.5 is now online! I am very sorry, but it's not save game compatible. too many changes! But you will like them!
 
How to cultivate seafood in your mode? I figured out how to do it with grain and cattle, but not with seafood.
Do you need some technology and a special unit to move the resource?

OH is there a bug?
Normally with a trade ship, gaulos or trade carvel. either you go onto the plot (remove) or from the city.
you need the tech Aquaculture

Every turn I started getting an error message -
It doesn't crash the game, but it's pretty annoying
*I'm not sure exactly, but I think the message started appearing when the Oracle construction began.

Yep, I will upload a patch for this and other things tonight.
But unfortunately, this will not be save compatible.
 
I found a bug in the file "PAE_Christen". It happens, if Christianity is found. I uploaded an updated 7.6 yesterday in the evening. so, if you downloaded the file before 18 o'clock, please get the file again.

I will try to add save compatible things for a week to be able to open your saves if a bug occur. then I will add some new XML things again for patch 7.7.
 
Help me understand why I can't start building a Celtic temple - nemeton? It seems like all the conditions are met.
I also have a question:
Why building a stone wall doesn't replace the wooden palisade, logic?
I decide to skip building a wooden palisade to save woods, or I just build a stone one.
And this option remains in the construction proposal + extra maintanence.

Damn... I can't use a NONE prereq tech for SPECIALBUILDINGS and a prereq tech for the BUILDING itself.... thx! This is a bug, I didn't know before.

I will today upload a next bugfix for that! THX!

Palisade vs Walls: In CIV there is no setting for either-or. So, I could do this via python or you just imagine, the palisade could be built anywhere in front of a wall for instance... if you don't really need or want a palisade, you don't need to build it. even if it's in the construction menu.
 
Heyhey! I encountered the black hole problem. It happened after constructing a watchtower with my hunter. Conversely, I was also able to get rid of the black holes after pillaging the tiles with the watchtower. If I pillage/destroy the watchtower it will (re)discover the black tiles to the north and west of the hunter. I tried removing the watchtowers in the world editor and then only the north blackhole is solved but the western black holes remain. Truly some sort of eldritch horror might have entered your code :/

I also noticed that watchtowers no longer give an increase in sight radius for units on the same tile. Is there maybe something conflicting here and creating -1 sight radius??
Additionaly, I read that you wanted to have hunters be consumed when constructing a watchtower but I get two options for watchtower cosntruction. One that consumes the hunter, and one that builds it for 4 gold without consuming the hunter

I hope this helps a little with narrowing down the possible cause. As always, I am thoroughly enjoying the new updates!

EDIT: I just noticed you dropped an update for 7.6 a few days ago. This save is from 7.5. Just so you know ;)

The watchtower clue might be the correct one to solve the black hole bug. I think maybe also in my game this area had a watchtower.
 
This are very good news! I am sorry, I was busy the last days and will start modding today again... so I hope I can soon fix the temples, the advanced start city state and hopefully the watch tower bug.

I could image, I tried to add the +1 sight from the fortress mod, copied it 1:1 but it seems it doesn't work 100% and perhaps they got rid of the bug with other code parts... althougt another player, just knew of the black hole thing that it could occur in other mods, so perhaps, it's still a bug elsewhere...
I think, I put this out again and do it via python and unit promos again.
 
Ok, I fixed the temples, fixed a city state bug of advanced games and hope (I don't know) I fixed the black hole.... I just removed the sdk sight to python again.

patch 7.7 is in the first post of the download thread.
 
Oh damn.... it seems there will be another patch this week....

(but with a part of the new religion conflict feature included)
