Suggestions and Requests

Leoreth, any thoughts on my suggestions concerning Fanaticism/Persecution?

(1. have Religions like Orthodoxy or Protestantism not spread to your Catholic cities when running Fanaticism or at least reduce it
2. change Persecution to the RFCE-way of doing it via a "National Unit" allowing you to influence the AI to persecute a bit
3. allow for more than 1 Persecution project at a time
4. allow fanatic civs to persecute upon city conquest)
Religion is on my to do list.

Just a coincidence?
Yes.

For me it's more the opposite, I don't trust Civ5 to get either history or gameplay right.

Is the Great Statesman supposed to have the ability to explore rival territory?

Edit: Could Republic, Representation or City States give double Statesman Slots that way all of the specialists have a double slot civic.
Could Interpol and Triumphal arch both give +?% chance to generate Great Spies and Great Generals respectively. This would give them the +1 to the respective great person that national wonders are supposed to have.

Yes, they are diplomats among other things so that seemed appropriate. Also the Diplomatic Mission becomes kind of useless when you can only use it on civs that already like you enough to grant open borders.

Not sure if I want that and what civic would be most fitting.

Nope, there will never be any city based births of these GPs.

I think they're great scientists.

I wasn't even trying to be witty this time

can resolve a crisis: immediately ends anarchy and removes unrest from all cities

If statesman is so great, can't he also be used for resetting stability? Or increasing it.

That would defeat the point of stability.

Great statesman - "end crisis" ability is way more powerful than reform: you revolt, use it, anarchy ends, plus some conquered cities.

I addressed this in the commit message:
a) Reform Government can be used even when civics are on "cooldown" because of recent revolutions
b) I have some plans to make it more useful relating to concepts that haven't made it into the game yet

This is a bit random, but it could be interesting if more events were added. The ones I have in mind would be specific to a civ or region, but could effect everything from stability to civics. For example the British could be asked to change to representation, with a happiness bonus or economic bonus if they do and a stability hit or greater unhappiness if they don't.

Suggestion new civs as: Canada and Australia. UK keeps them for good?! Try to make them more friendly to UK so they'll be part of the Commonwealth. Try to create new wonders for US as Golden Gate Bridge or some of the Washington DC's. For the rest the game is amazing. so many a great improvements that made the game even more fantastic! great job guys!

Canada already exists in the SVN version of 1.13 (and there's a modmod that includes Australia). I also don't think that the US in particular is lacking in wonders.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!

i'm sorry i don't know how to do it... should I install it? so sorry to ask even if it's that obvious..
thanks anyway! played so many days with it ahah :)
