Sukritact's Events and Decisions

So, I'd like to suggest two balance changes:

Formalize Scales, Weights, and Measures is a huge bonus. +25% gold in all cities just seems too high (or at least compared to the outcome of other decisions). I think changing it to +15% (or even just +20%) would still provide a bonus that I would pay a Magistrate for without shifting the economics of the game too drastically.

Request the Services of a Great Person should be locked out of the ancient era. You can say that's a lot of gold to spend in the ancient era, but it's not a lot of gold to potentially buy a wonder or free tech in the ancient era, and if you get a merchant the gold cost is moot.

Just two suggestions, take them or leave them. Love the mod.
 
Hey sukritact, absolutely love this mod and you've done amazing work on it. However, it has a stability issue. Whenever I save and try to exit to main menu or to windows desktop, the game crashes. It gives a run time error and says that the application has asked to be terminated in an unusual way. I play with a lot of mods so I did some testing and narrowed down the error to Events and Decisions mod.

In my earlier beta games where it was 15%, the additional gold was a bit small for a hefty price.
 
Compatible with Communitas?
 
Wonder if anyone has experienced a similar problem: I've been playing it with CPP. Having sporadic issues where the E&D dialog box renders, the options are highlight-able, but I cannot select one. I have to kill the Civ process and reload from the last autosave. When I hit that event again, it performs correctly. I don't know that this is an E&D problem as I haven't played the game Vanilla with just your mod. Throwing it out there....

Should add that I love this mod, sukritact -- adds a lot of depth to the game.
 
Not sure how rare this is, but I was playing Venice on an Archipelago standard size map. Sadly, I was not able to do the decision involving 3 Great Galleass due to not having an ocean tile within working distance. Spawned on a small island with a single tile island nearby that caused every water tile to be coast.
 
Same game in which I earlier had the unfortunate New World Order event. This is at least an era later and now I am suddenly and for no apparent reason, stuck in constantly growing turns of anarchy with no science. My empire is +13 happiness, so it is not that, It says I changed ideologies, but I did not. 3 Turns ago it said I had one more turn of it...then that number went up to 2 next turn...now it says 4. What is this? I have never seen it before and so I am assuming it is from this mod....I looked for a notification that I may have missed, but nothing remotely close. Oh, and I have spawned 3 Great Scientists in this time...which is odd, since I am pretty sure I was not close to spawning any...crazy stuff....
 
I am playing with Phoenicia and there's no Phoenicia-exclusive decisions. Why haven't you included support for your own mod in your own mod?
 
sorry to sound like a broken record. but after loading an autosave, the New World Order event immediately ended the game by having EVERY capital taken over by barbarians. Bang. Instantly. Game ended and declared me the winner. Albeit with a terrible score. I must say this event ruined a really fun game. One that I was frustrated to see end in such a fashion. I tried 5 other times, but the event was not avoidable. In half the cases, I got the aforementioned turns of anarchy which negated science and/or production and seemingly fluctuated turns so that it never ended. In the other half, I get the instant game over. If that was how it was designed, I hate to be overly critical, but it is a game breaker. Everything else about the mod is great. This one is ridiculously bad. Is there a way I can remove it from the mod but still keep the rest of it?

I've tried it several times now. The first time was with the R.E.D. mod, then I tried this on its own and it doesn't let me play.

Please help, I really want to play this mod. :(
 
Are there any Modern events post the Transportation system for one?
