Superpowers NES

The Kaliningrad Oblast was supposed to be somewhat bigger, but ah well. What happened with Moldova?

EDIT: By the way, is it correct that absolutely nobody in Ukraine answered our peace feelers, and that neither the army nor the people cared much about that? Or are those simply negligible details in this case?

INDIANS FULLY OCCUPY TIBET AS THE TIBETENS SURRENDER

I, uh, don't think that's the right nation. :p

Terrorism please... I have a hankering to fund some work ;)

[*banana lee, it costs 20c to train from Regular to Veteran.

Yep. But I ordered that 24 Mech Div be trained from Green to Reg, not 47 Mech Div.
Also moved some regiments around in my second order set so 24 should've been attacking Fiji while 2 Westpac joined in Papua.

All good though. I"ll assume it's the silly bureaucracy.

@Jason the King:

I think Indians occupied Nepal, not Tibet.

Wow. That's embarrassing. I don't know what compelled me to write Tibet.

Also, I spent 10c for Jungle Spec. for Southern Army last turn, and I've spent 15c on Nuclear Weaponry. Please confirm.

Confirmed. Remind me of the mistake in your orders and i will fix it in the next update.

Moreover, what does ROP stand for in Sino-Korean Defense Pact in the stats? And please add the Mutual Defense Treaty with UIS.

ROP stands for Right of Passage...meaning your troops can enter his country. the MPP with UIS was not confirmed by Amon in his orders.

We would like a full scope of your grievances on our invasion of Burma.

They are not within Chinese sphere of influence. We recommend you concentrate on Central Asia and the Pacific.

Amon never puts treaty signatures in orders. No need to waste the mod's time with something I can remember myself.

Yay! Smashing success.

I have limited connectivity, so diplomacy will have to wait until Monday at the latest.

Your claim on Korea is illegitimate, and if you insist on attacking North Korea there will be severe consequences for your actions. Japan Has a cultural claim to Korea, if you wish to insult Japanese honour there will be no end to when might head your way. I suggest you make your next moves with caution.

@Amon: It affects stability. Please do so.

For someone who cares about cultural claim, you have no knowledge of current affairs. We have no intention of attacking DPRK, nor did we "claim" it, we are protecting it from your invasion, approved by their government. Get your facts right.

And, please, elaborate on your "cultural claim". We'd love to hear about Japanese rationalization.

OOC: What rationalisation is there to make!? The Russo-Japanese war clearly outlines how Japan has a right to claim korea ;)

OOC: Illegal occupation of Burma? :p

And by the way, yes, terrorism and other espionage actions would be neat.

Also, I've been meaning to ask this - what's the point of having all those "occupied countries"? If there is no difference between them and the rest of the national territory, why not just erase the old borders?

Easier to describe where to go, keeps things divided and always leaves the possibility open to "liberate" a country from a rival, etc.

Plus, I just like it better lol.

What happened to Singapore and East Timor Jason?

Bouganville is also free in this timeline?

EDIT: I might just be going blind...

storytime!

The Alaska Times
"Nobody cares what we do up here so we can afford to tell news pretty much like it is."

'War of Liberation' Ends as USS Forces Withdraw From Canada!
The Red House's stated goal of liberating the Canadian proletariat was brought to an abrupt and seemingly final close as USS forces withdraw from Canadian soil. Preaching 'peace with honor,' the brains in Washingtongrad declared that the Canadian laborers were "so firmly hypnotized by the shock and awe of bourgeoisie oppression that liberating them is not a viable option at this juncture."

Still, it was an embarrassing defeat for the USSA, which has lost every war (except the War of Afghani Liberation) it has fought so far in this century. The aging Premier Obama resigned publicly as his image was hurt significantly as a result of this failure. The even older former Chairwoman of the Communist Party, Clinton, went on record as having said "I told you so." She then died mysteriously of an ice pick to the head in an unrelated incident within her own home following a break-in by officials whose only statement was that they have nothing to do with the CIA (Communist Intelligence Agency).

Obama, despite stepping down to fill a technocratic position within the Communist bureaucracy, was quick to select a successor. A new face and rising star within the Communist Party, John Freeman* has been selected Premier of the United Socialist States of America. Freeman promises a glorious rebirth of the nation's military tradition, a strengthening of ties with communist friends across the globe, and advancement of the worldwide workers' revolution.

Freeman's inauguration sparked a sharp boost in approval ratings for the Communist Party up to 112%, a marked increase over last year's 108%, said the Department of Information last Tuesday, as well as a sudden increase in the number of pairs of boots produced this year (which had previously been misreported to be only one half of the actual quota). In fact, the election for Premier had a surprisingly high voter turnout, which is exceptionally shocking due to the lack of an election in which to have high voter turnout.

Regardless, all signs point to a roaring start for Premier Freeman.

Then why aren't there borders in, say, Catalonia or Scotland? I mean, someone can always liberate them, no? :p

EDIT: Also, I don't believe you answered my questions at the top of this page.
