Superpowers NES

Great story Crezth. Yay to terrorism. Allah Ack-bar (The tastiest chocolate bars you will ever find)

The Kaliningrad Oblast was supposed to be somewhat bigger, but ah well. What happened with Moldova?

EDIT: By the way, is it correct that absolutely nobody in Ukraine answered our peace feelers, and that neither the army nor the people cared much about that? Or are those simply negligible details in this case?

Negligible details. This is not so much a story NES where appealing to the people will work all that well. Stability and morale has little importance in neutral nations, this game is more geared towards player-player interaction.

Moldava declined.

Its best if you conduct diplomacy outside of the update though, so I can reply in kind.

blah, I get punished for following the mods direction from the last update, and the reminder of my orders get ignored. I put An entire spending point into manafacturing that evidence, and I get nothing at all. Blah.

What directions were you following? About that evidence...I did put something in the quick notes on the bottom of the update...plus, since its not really plausible to spend money on that kind of stuff in this kind of NES, I even put that 1c into your treasury.

blah?

We have received word of your failed invasion of Canada. We hope this will not bring your aggression to our borders.

I propose we sign a 1 year Non-Aggression pact. If you refuse, I will know where your ambitions lie.

We do not negotiate with capitalists. You will have to trust our word that we will not violate your sovereignty.

It was more of a psychological warfare ploy. Don't forget that I appealed to just about everyone else in the country as well. Also, if the Indians can get the Nepalese to surrender, then I don't see why I can't try something similar with the Ukrainians.

I see. Then I must urge you not to move your armies near the Mexican border. If our intelligence warns that you are making aggressive moves and threatening our border, it will undoubtedly lead to war.

Understood. It will not be a problem however.

Meeting Room at the Palacio Del Tyrante
Mexico City, Mexico
1:12 A.M (GMT -06:00) Central Time

"Orale holmes!" yelled Jesus Martinez, despot of the Mexican Empire, to his brother Miguel, who had just walked into the meeting room. There were bottles of tequila scattered all around the room; everything was a mess. Papers were thrown about everywhere, file cabinets were opened and tossed by the floor, chairs and tables were overturned. It seemed like a major celebration had just taken place. And there, on a throne-like chair, with his legs crossed upon a long oak table, sat the self-proclaimed "King of Mexico". "Andale, come over here and tell me what you think about the place!" he spoke. Miguel walked over, carefully tiptoeing over the various sheets of papers on the floor, some with complicated graphs and charts, others stamped with a red ink labeled "CLASSIFICADO", picked up a chair, turned it upright, and sat across Jesus Martinez. "Digame chicano, what do you think about the recent takeover of Honduras, ey? Muy sabroso, no?" laughed the despot. Miguel bowed his head, staring at his own rugged, tattered shoes. "Que cosa, eh?" continued Jesus. "We were able to conquer Honduras in only a month.. when they had been a free nation for over 200 years!!" shouted Jesus with a smirk on his face. "Those chingados didn't even see it comin'.. oye, take a look at this." Jesus leaned down, shuffling through some papers on the floor, searching for something. He sat back upright and threw a newspaper across the table. "That's last month's issue of El International... andale, take a look!" Miguel leaned across the table and grabbed the newspaper. Besides some major stories concerning revolutions and invasions, one of the topics undoubtedly caught Miguel's eye.

(SKIRMISH ON HONDURAS BORDER LEADS TO WAR, MEXICO INVADES - Mexico City, Mexican Empire)
(After a small skirmish on the border with Honduras, Mexican officials decide to take matters into their own hands and issued a declaration of war, followed by a full-fledged invasion.)

Miguel set the paper back down slowly. Jesus stared in his direction and let out a small smile. "A skirmish on the border.. it's almost as if you can pull anything out of your ass these days. Tu sabes, there are still people in both Mexico and Honduras asking, "What skirmish?". Jesus let out another loud laugh, which seemed to shake the entire room. Miguel knew about the things his brother did.. to his country.. for his country.. but some things were just too much to bear. Miguel pushed his chair back, stood up, and began to walk towards the door. "Hermano! Espera un momento!", groaned Jesus as Miguel put his hand on the doorknob. Jesus stood up and set his hands down on the table, holding himself up with his arms. "Why is it when you always come here, you never say a word, ah?" Miguel slowly turned around and looked deep into Jesus' eyes. "Mama wants to know if you can make it to church this Sunday," said Miguel in a whisper. Jesus slowly rubbed the back of his head. "Dale hermano.. you know I'm too busy. Tell mama that I'll make it next Sunday, esta bien?" Miguel nodded slowly, and turned back towards the door, hand still on the knob. "Oye, one more thing before you go.. I just want you to know that when I invite you here, you don't have to act like this. This isn't how I remember my little brother, okay?" Jesus took a little pause, then continued, "Just because I lead this country, doesn't mean I'm not your brother, entiendes?" Miguel sighed heavily, turned the doorknob, and walked out of the room, leaving Jesus staring into an empty hallway.

Why do you continue to collaborate with Western imperialists? We find it disappointing that your people, who once proudly defied western decadence, should now embrace their terrible ways. Still, we wish to reassure you (AND Mexico) that we will not attack the Mexicans next year.
