UIS Airstrikes soften USSA forces in Canada
UIS AIR FORCE LANDS IN OTTAWA, PUTS UP RESISTANCE TO USSA Ottawa, Canada
USSA forces this month fared much worse against determined Canadian forces south of the occupation zone in the east, with limited manpower and machinery being the biggest impediments to victory. Canadian forces remain defiant, destroying an infantry and an armored division before pushing the USSA forces back from their assault on Hamilton. Meanwhile the UIS
Enforcement of Allah’s Will air wing lands in the Canadian capital, securing Canadian and Muslim control of the skies by destroying 3 fighters of the USSA flying aces, and grounding the remaining fighter-bombers. The inclusion of the UIS air wing, as well as the impending arrival of UIS ground troops from the Atlantic, has seemingly spelled death for the USSA campaign in Canada. Many leaders in the USSA have called for a withdrawal and for negotiations to begin, recognizing the UIS as the world’s premier military power. In the east, however, Edmonton falls and Regina seems ready to surrender as the USSA armored and artillery divisions roll east. It seems that at least on one front the USSA is succeeding, giving hope to those who are still in support of the war, including the Secretary-General of the government.

PACIFIC UNION FLEET SINKS SOUTH AFRICAN NAVY Singapore, FUSEAS
With the South African fleet anchored far from its home port, their fleet remains vulnerable to the region’s powers, such as the Pacific Union. Seemingly only passing by, Force B of the Pacific Union began to conduct what Pacific Union officials call training excersizes; the South Africans call it provocation. With Australian jets flying just meters above the decks of the South African destroyers, and while launching numerous missiles that struck the waters only meters from South African hulls, the South African version seems to be more accurate. But nevertheless, it was the PRSA that fired the first shot as it seemed a single Pacific Union fighter was close to colliding with a destroyer. The PRSA responded for the death of the pilot with a full show of force, completely crushing the PRSA fleet and sending every single destroyer to the bottom of the South China Sea. In response, the Vietnamese fleet showed up on the scene, firing warning shots and threatening fly-bys that successfully edged the Pacific Union out of the region, lest they want war with Vietnam.
Mexican military police clash with civilians
ULSR FORCES FIRE AT PROTEST IN MEXICO CITY, 433 DEAD Mexico City, ULSR
As communism takes a hit across the globe, from the doomed USSA invasion of Canada to the PRSA sunken fleet in the South China Sea, protests and rallies continue to gain steam in ULSR, former Mexican Empire. The Communist party continues to hold onto power, with only minimal control of the army and less then forty percent approval among the people. In Mexico City a peaceful protest quickly became violent as military police were brought in to disperse the crowd. The police were quickly ordered to open fire on the 5,000+ crowd gathered in downtown, killing 340 off the bat, with 97 dying later from their wounds. Estimates state a further 1,200 people injured, and nearly €1 million in damages after the crown took to rioting and looting. Elsewhere in ULSR, though, protests have become less frequent, though no less intense.
COUP IN TURKEY LEAVES PRIME MINISTER, UIS PEACE TREATY DEAD Istanbul, UIS
As the Turkish prime minister was on his way to signing the peace treaty brokered with UIS, which would have left only Ankara in Turkish hands, his plane is hijacked and he executed. The army soon claimed responsibility, stating the prime minister as traitor to the people, and firm in the belief that Turkey could still win this war against the UIS. As a result, the UIS continued its brutal bombardment of Istanbul, though this time without cover of its superior air force. After heavy fighting and deep casualties, the famed city finally fell, taking 5 UIS infantry divisions from the 2nd army with it. Most of western Turkey is now under occupation of the UIS, though without the air force or Task Force Balls the task of securing eastern Turkey remains grim.
NIGERIA INVADES CENTRAL AFRICA AND BURKINA FASO Bangui, Nigeria
As tensions begin to cool with the PRSA, Nigeria against resumes its quest to dominate central Africa, and what better country to invade then the Central African Republic? This poor landlocked country doesn’t have much of an army, but they do have thousands of militia fighters ready to take to the jungles to fight off the invading Nigerians. Most of the populace, though, welcomes the Nigerian army as a chance to become part of something much bigger, and hopefully reap the profits of an empire. Nevertheless, Bangui falls quickly to the Nigerians, but fighting soon intensifies on the way to Bria. Meanwhile, the Nigerian 2nd Army is relocated to the west, and quickly invades one of the world’s poorest countries, Burkina Faso. The nation falls within the month.
FOOD SUPPLIES IN ROMANIA DRASTICALLY LOW, STARVATION IMMINENT Bucharest, Romania
As population booms across the UIS and Russia, more and more food that was once grown in the EU and destined for Romania are being bought up and sold to the growing cities of the Middle East and Siberia. Food shortages in Romania in the past have resulted in long lines, but relatively non-drastic levels. Now, though, as Romanians become poorer and Muslims richer, Romania is constantly left with only token food supplies. This winter it seems Romanian companies will not have necessary food supplies to feed the country, and it may come to begging for food from either Russia or the EU, or there may be a major humanitarian crises on our hands.
FEDERALIZATION MAY NEED TO WAIT AS INDIAN CHINA ERUPTS IN PROTEST Guangzhou, India
By far the more peaceful of the occupation zones, Indian China has been undergoing a series of experiments of self-government and federalization, based on democratic ideals that work(ed) well in India. Unfortunately, as the Indians begin a systematic withdrawal of forces from the region, the underlying faults begin to appear as the Chinese clamor for their complete independence, with full elections that do not hinge on the approval of Indian authorities. The Free China Now! organization responsible for numerous uprisings and terrorist acts across the country is the strongest in the rural lands of Indian China, working for a fully independent Chinese republic. This month huge peaceful demonstrations were organized by FCN! in Guangzhou and other provincial, backwater towns of southern China. The protestors make it clear, though, if their demands are not met there will be violence in the near future. Many Indians argue for the redeployment of the 2nd Motorized Army, or at least the construction of a huge occupational force of military police.
IDEA OF INDEPENDENT TIBET MET WITH RESISTANCE Moscow, Russia
As the Russian president Vasiliy Aleksandrovich Terentyev scrambles to lessen Russia’s responsibility in China, many in both Russia and China scorn his idea of an independent Tibet. Chinese resistors site the historic tie of Tibet to China, and the overwhelming presence of Han Chinese, indeed a majority of people in Tibet are Han Chinese. Russian critics cite the considerable resources it would take to set up a new state in the Tibet region, as well as refugee, terrorist, and conventional threats a weak state in central Asia would bring. Nevertheless, the president is continuing with his idea, drafting a full proposal and meeting with military leaders to discuss what the next steps would be. His rivals are already forming a coalition within the Duma to oppose the legislation, though it seems Mr. Terentyev still has considerable support from his party and such legislation, should he deem it, would be passed.
