Superpowers NES

OOC: Is this because you haven't put any city in Tibet, by any chance? :p

Nice update =D

I'm wondering why ICBMs or nukes would have upkeep. It's not like it costs much to simply house an ICBM or a nuke. An example would be of how the USA would be bankrupt right now if we had to pay 1 IC per ICBM... Because we'd have to pay something like 10 thousand IC! Same goes for nukes... Simply housing a nuke in a warehouse doesn't cost the government anything. I do hope you repeal this rule.

Also... I'm pretty pissed off about the Turkey coup thing... No way I would have sent my air force and task force balls to North America if Turkey had couped.

Amon,
*Before you start to go off, this is not meant to be accurate. It is how it is, and is that way for fun. Join, and enjoy the fun.
;)

We are dealing with a miniature NES where 30 divisions can occupy China and it takes one month to build a super cairrier. IIRC India is the only one that reached ICBMs and, considering how potentially powerfull they are, I do not have a problem with this upkeep. Nuclear weapons are meant to be expensive.

@Jason, great update!

OOC: If we can't store a nuclear deterrant, it's going to come down to simply people with nuclear technology buying and using those weapons on the same turn they buy them to everyone's surpise. It's much more interesting, and realistic, for countries to be able to build up a nuclear deterrant.

If anyone needs to send me diplomacy, do it via PM. I'm without internet for a while, so I'll be checking this trash at the library.

:) There would need to be at least one city in Tibet, or you would have to pay at least 1c every turn for it to exist.

The US spends $52 billion a year upkeeping our nuclear stockpile, including upgrading and maintaining. There will be upkeep.

Coup thing happened after your air force was redeployed.

52 billion a year... How much is a single IC worth? 52 billion from our 7 trillion dollar economy is a drop in the bucket, just like a nuclear upkeep should be. If we are going to have upkeep on this stuff, could we have a more fair upkeep, perhaps?

You can still have a nuclear deterrent while paying upkeep. I dont see why that would be any different then supercarriers. Though I may be willing to lower it to 1c for every 2 ICBMs and every 4 tactical. Ill give it some thought.

In the meantime, amon, go to www.meebo.com and sign on to aim there, you can do it at a library presumably.

Because the Republic of Colombia has yet to respond to our ultimatum, the Estados Unidos de Latin America declare that we are undertaking military action to remove the government of Colombia and replace it with an administration that is accountable to its people, free from corruption, and respecting of its neighbors' sovereignty.

Shouldn't there be at least one city if the Han Chinese immigration was large enough to create a Han Chinese majority by this point? As opposed to 6,1% at the beginning of the century.

Considering the constantly self-destructive actions of Turkey, we hereby withdraw all previous support of the Turkish government and its independence. We sincerely hope that the Turkish people will find the Union of Islamic States to be saner rulers than their current regime.

Indeed, but most Han are spread out in the countryside and small towns. But, there will be a new wave of cities next turn, perhaps a few in Tibet would make sense.

OOC: PRSA was taken by a coup. Did you read my story? I was going to just bank and watch it happen. :(

Not that kind of NES, as I stated from the beginning. You need to send orders for specific stuff to happen.

Oh, ok, can I send orders so you can edit the update. I am sorry jason. Reminded again that I am one of the few who writes stories.

Nice update! No invasion of Vietnam...pretty good.

We are sorry for the loss of your fleet, we tried to get there in time, but we were too late. They indeed are at fault, and we will be wary of their actions in the future.

To: PRSA

Your interference of our fleet during our training exercises were extremely out of place, we deeply regret the loss of your fleet and believe that is loss enough for this rude interference. Thus, we shall not demand an apology.

Yours truly,

Simon O'Connor

If you perform Excersies in the Gulf of Thailand sending live ammunition inches from the hulls during our directorial visit... you are either using us as targets to teach them to mis-aim or you are doing this on purpose... One inch and you would have iniciated the first blow. That, my friend, is nothing to sneeze at. What if one of our Airforce does excersizes right over your government sector? Flying inches above your cars? What if then? You will claim we provoaked you...

Know well, 25 IC for an excersize is nothing to sneeze at, death of our leader is not too.. If you want to risk Our own 'Excersizes' be my guest. We ask for nothing... Yet...

Yours Truly (or not)

(yes, he killed our visiting Directer from PRSA who came to visit the Expiditionary Force )

OOC: Wow you guys are all idiots. I'm going to enjoy surrendering, and I'm going to enjoy it when the UIS conquers the world because frankly you all deserve it.

To: PRSA

I am surprised you'd say that we were exercising off Saigon harbour, considering all exercises were going on in the Gulf of Thailand - in international waters. Thus, your analogy is not apt.
By their very definition, training exercises meant dummy rounds. We only responded with live ammunition when your ships fired on us.
It is clear that the Pacific Union is the aggreived party in this dispute.

Yours sincerely,

Simon O'Connor
