Anti-Air Gun - 5 - 3 = 2 AI don't use Planes so they are completely useless.
Battering Ram - 21

Military Engineer - 16 + 1 = 17 Ok for forts and when I play Poland.
Mobile SAM - 10

Battering Ram - 22 = 21 + 1 Almost a necessity in early game
Medic - 11 =14 - 3 For some reason i never build medics

Anti-Air Gun - 2 -3 = ELIMINATED. But it's kinda sad that the AI doesn't build an airforce (or a potent navy for that matter). That would make the game way more interessting.

Siege Tower - 20 (19+1) i tried it yesterday. It's actually pretty nice.
 
Battering Ram - 23 (+1) - Viable way to beat down city defenses all game if you keep melee unit strength decent, scales well with warmongering + promotions.
Medic - 11
Military Engineer - 14 (-3) - Situations where the game dictates using this are pretty rare. Maybe in MP? Dunno. Worth basically nothing in SP.
Mobile SAM - 10

Military Engineer - (14-3)=11 Using these guys to build two forts to gain a eureka is not worth it in my opinion.

Battering Ram - 24 (23+1) What can you use with every non ranged military unit in the game and have it retain the same amount of effectiveness from the Ancient to Information era? This thing.

Mobile SAM - 7 (10-3) It would be fitting if Norway had one of these as a unique unit, given its uselessness. Sorry Sammy.

Military Engineer - 8 (11 - 3) Roads, forts and silos. Cool. If I want roads, I'll use trade routes. The others, I've never needed.

Observation Balloon - 25 (24 + 1) I used this once and it changed my life. Bombarding cities that can't shoot back on their turn makes everything much easier.

Mobile SAM - 7 - 3 = 4 Never needed them only ever built them in one game and they were wasted because no AI used Planes.

Battering Ram - 25 (24+1) never gets obsolete and helps a lot.
Medic - 8 (11-3) I rather buy an apostle

Mobile SAM - 4-3=1 - I've never been nuked. I'm not that mad to declare war on Gandhi in Atomic Era. Actually, I've never built this thing.

Battering Ram - 25 +1 = 26 Both have their place on the plinth but Rams you get so much earlier, so handy - once the walls are down the city is dead meat but you get earlier than towers.

Mobile SAM - 1 -3 = -2 - Just how many would you need to cover yourself from nukes anyway - remove it now!

Military Engineer - (9 + 1) = 10 The only support units I've built more than twice. Only for CS quests, but, eh, anyway... :)

Siege Tower - (23 - 3) = 20 I never found time in this era to build this unit instead of something else.

Military Engineer - 10 + 1 = 11 For the airstrip on foreign continent for 1 of each eureka/inspiration, also to build nuke silo. rarely a road, That's about it.
Observation Balloon - 27
Siege Tower - (20 - 3) = 17 Meh

Battering Ram 26+1+27 (as much as I like siege towers if I had to pick one this is the better unit)
Military Engineer 11-3=8 (Way too expensive for far too little. I don't really care about the eureka, and resent building the unit just for that)

Military Engineer 8 + 1 = 9 Playing Poland these guys are very useful in steal territory.

Battering Ram 27+1=28 - Very useful and I'll support it in battle between this and Observation Balloon.
Military Engineer 9-3=6 - I used them only once - to build Missile Silo to nuke other civs as Germany for domination. The other things were more useful for me. They can be useful when you play as Poland, yes, but other three things are better.

Battering Ram 29 = 28 + 1 Just because it comes earlier than an Observation Balloon
Military Engineer 3 = 6 - 3 Near worthless because of their cost (could be improved if it had many many more charges)
