The logs are vast, I checked the Modlog, no errors. Went back into the games mod folder, the Improved Mod Page and the Improved Plot Tooltip both had a Module folder, removed the Module folder after moving the sub files into the main. Worked!!!!! Went thru the others that did/would not also load and Viola! They all loaded. Thanks @Finwickle for your direction. Forgot how awesome this site was when faced with problems.

TCS Improved Plot Tooltip Version 16 release!

Quick summary:

• Added Korean localization
• Added configurable options to customize the tooltip in various ways
• Added custom property support for TCS Improved Mod Page (thanks @leonardify !)
• Added icon to units
• Total Yields and Specialist Count now share a line and are represented via icons
• Drop shadows have been added to Constructible and Resource icons for greater clarity and "pop"
• Fortification Info has been refactored to be easier to parse at a glance
• When hovering over another player's City Centers, the indicator that there is an open trade route slot has been changed from a string to a Merchant icon
• Updated warning banners to not overlap tooltip border (thanks @beezany !)
• Improved Building info spacing when displayed as row - there may still be some slight overlapping for buildings with very long single-word names
• Added current-age tags to Buildings if they are not obsolete, unique, or ageless (Antiquity, Exploration, Modern)
• Fixed several issues from the base game when Debug was enabled
• Updated the Debug info displayed to be more comprehensive
• Various other under-the-hood changes

You and Leaonardfactory's Policy yields preview posted updates to your mods today that seem to make them incompatible. I get this message when I install and enable both (which I didn't get before):

Hopefully there'S a way to make both your fantastic mods work together again ?

EDIT: BTW disabling one OR the other lets the game work again. I only get this message when both mods are enabled

that message usually indicates a problem with the localization files, like a duplicate locale string. i'm not seeing this problem with both mods installed, so i'm wondering whether there's a problem with your installation. the folder name for this mod changed in the new version, and leonard's mod puts the version number in the folder, so it changes every time. maybe check your mods folder to see if you have more than one version of the mods installed?

One more thing (sorry for message spamming): TCS Improved Plot Tooltip - localization placeholders are showing in settings instead of actual translation. But only in game, in main menu everything is great.

As others have reported, in v16, localized strings are not resolved when looking at the options while in a game (it's fine if opening the settings in the main menu instead)

Yep, planning on an Improved Mod Page update with localizations this week.

both your Improved Mod Page and Improved Plot Tootip while downloaded and unzipped do not show up within the games mod page.

I have the same issue and it appears to be because the file structure is wrong, when unzipped the file creates:-

C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods\TCS-Improved-Plot-Tooltip\modules

You need to move everything within modules up one level so that TCS-Improved-Plot-Tooltip has the following in it:-

I've never seen the modules folder cause that issue before - I've seen an extra nested TCS-Improved-Plot-Tooltip folder due to how some people unzip things.

I guess I should just remove the modules folder as it seems to cause more confusion than anything else - attempting to follow FXS folder structure doesn't really seem worth it in this case

Ok sorry @thecrazyscot and thanks @beezany it was indeed an error 12 (inches between the screen and the keyboard )

I was unpacking the level 2 of the zip files into the mods folder instead of the level 1 in folder hierarchy. for all mods. so of course it lead to conflicts. reinstalled properly this morning and all working fine. Sorry for the hubbub with the noob mistake

TCS Improved Plot Tooltip v17 will include improved handling of long strings for the default (row) building layout - but I've also updated the optional column layout to display more nicely. The column layout may just work better for certain localizations. I'm also updating the Config implementation so that you can properly toggle options on/off from within the game and it will immediately update the tooltip layout.

When I was plaing Skyrim Special Edition quite a while ago I downloaded all my mods from Nexus as I do not trust Steam mods (about 450 of them, used a mod that allowed combining them into 1 eg: Armor, followers, clothing, ( IBash?) to avoid the mod limit). some mods worked as soon as I downloaded where others would need an extra file removed first. There was no consistent reason I could tell. I should of remembered this when I posted here. I have a memory problem as 74 and my past are catching up to me
