I need to but BTS so I can join in on the fun. Non of you are up for a vanilla game by any chance though are you?

Do you have to have Warlords to update to Beyond the Sword? Or can you just get Beyond the Sword and update it from Vanilla?
 
My understanding is that the warlords and BTS expansions are independent of each other. Though if I were to upgrade I would of course want to go for BTS.

Though the fact that Civ V is coming out fairly soon makes it seem a bit pointless - then again - I suspect it will be cheap.

I found a digital copy of Civ IV complete online for 10 bucks, although that was a special offer which I checked and is now more expensive.

Amazon dot com has Beyond the Sword for $8.89. Not a bad price IMO.
 
Do we have another multiplayer session coming up this weekend, either a continuance of the game from last weekend or a new game depending on how many of the same players return?
 
3PM, I'm game to continue the last match.

If people want to start fresh, I'm up for that too. I don't have the savegame from last game though, so I can only host a continuation if someone posts the savegame here. If you post it here then I will go to the lobby ahead of time and open a continuation game.

I would say if more than 1 or 2 slots are unfilled, we should probably just start fresh though.
 
I am pretty sure I saved the game so can post when I get home from work. If we do start a new one, I think it might be a good idea to do like someone else suggested last time, to include more AIs so we can have people jump in the week after so we don't end up in a new game loop. If we set the AIs at the right difficulty, they should keep up. Then again, we shouldn't do too many, as they're easier to fight.
 
I'll try to get there tomorrow, but I might be driving.
 
Turns out I won't be able to join. World cup obligations have me heading to a bar with my wife. Good luck to all and I hope to be able to join the next game!
