I was told about this place from one of your own and decided to check it out. My first impressions are that this is a cool forum. I'm not much of a civfanatic. But I am a SMACfanatic <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>. And yes I am an Apolyton Refugee.

So who are the ones I should stay away from?

First of all I would like to welcome you here at CFC - and hope that we are all that you have come to expect from your friend.

And here is a little about CFC and the Fanatics who "live" here:

There is one big difference, and that is that people here at CFC are generally much nicer to each others that most people at Apolyton - there have been some exceptions of late but don't let them ruin the experience for you!!

As the name implies we are mostly Civfanatics and therefor we have quite a lot of Civ stuff going on - there is the Civladder, the Civ GotM and we have some lose Civ succession games going on from time to time.

But mostly the posting "hardcore" part of CFC comes here because we like to talk, discuss and tease each others, and this is just the place for it.

The rules have been rather loosely upheld but in the last few weeks that has changed a bit so now mods actually do something about spammers and the like.

CFC is rather quite right now, because of the summer and a lot of people are on holiday, but there will always some of the posting mad fanatics around

I hope that you will enjoy your stay here - and who knows - you might even get stuck like the rest of us.

It's a more lighthearted place than apolyton. I wouldnt say nicer myself.

You get different topics and a different group to speak with and so depite the similar look, cfc and acs are two very different places.

As you can see, the ot here is the biggest attraction, like apolyton, but our top poster here is around 1800 posts, so we dont have the same type of spammers that apolyton does, which is nice. There arent as many *****y europeans here. Most of the euros here are cool with the exception of the few that want to exterminate americans.

The mods are cool for the most part and the admin thunderfall is the ****.

There are several crossovers from apolyton, me being one of them. I'd say besides chris (a of a), I'm the most active person that posts on both forums.

Ummmm.....there's a lot of dutch people.

We have our fair share of idiots, as every forum does.

Well, anyway, hope to see you around, we need more quality people round here.

This place is NOT like Apolyton. Unlike Apo, every little corner is surveillenced, so don't do anything stupid, like getting yourself banned!

Do not:

Do anything that ever slliiiightly resembles spam or pissing a mod off, or you'll get a week's vacation and 10% post deduction

And don't listen to Cunobelin of Hippo. He's just "The guy that's there."
