Temple of the Ancients from FF VII (or it could be used as a generic step pyramid)

Well, It took me about 5 hours from start to finish, but I've completed the first Great Wonder for my Final Fantasy mod.

The Temple of the ancients is where the Ancients, or Cetra, gathered all their knowledge in vast archives. Among the powerful spells that are stored there is the ultimate destruction magic, Meteor. After the first time Meteor was summoned, and the Cetra were virtually wiped out, the temple fell into disuse, becoming a forgotten relic in the jungle. This changed when Sephiroth, driven to insanity by a terrible truth he discovered, set about to summon Meteor once again....

Basically, this will be available with literature and replace the great library. Once minor difference will be that I'm thinking about having the civ that builds this able to (for a HUGE shield cost) create "Meteor" units (basically ICBM replacements), but that remains to be seen....

Anyways, here's a preview of the wonder splash:

And this of course, is the convienient zip file containing all the civilopedia Icons, etc. Unzip them into the appropriate directories and modify the Buildings-large and buildings-small PCX files as necesary.

Looks good. :goodjob:
Now this looks like a pyramid that can be built by ANY civ.

There were alot of things in Final Fantasy 7 that you really had to look closely into in order to understand, for instance, Jenovah was in reality a shape-changing alien(from Outer Space) originally, and it was the one responsibility for destroying the Cetra. Jenovah was also the one speaking to Cloud threwout the game(You are a puppet), threw dreams and waking visions, not Sephiroth. I bet none of you knew that huh?

The only thing about FF7 I did not like was the ending.

But my favorite Final Fantasy's will always be 4, 6 and 9

BTW could you post a city wiew prewiew?

Well, I originally made this for C3C. For some reason, most likely due to the whole crapload of new/changed buildings for all the scenarios, etc, the City view button has been disabled/removed. The closest thing I could do would be to post the Civilopedia Large Icon, or the itty-bitty Icon that shows up in the bottom left-hand side of the city screen, where the Improvements/wonders that have been built in the city are displayed.

Sorry I couldn't be much help here. :(

this looks very much like what I would suspect an Atlantian pyramid to look like, somthing that I have been wanting for a while- keep up the good work, and though it may float your boat, dont feel like you have to limit your self to final fantasy wonders- your skills could be well aplied for a host of different buildings :)

Well, you could use it as an Atlantean pyramid, if you want. (Note to self, keep that in mind for possible Rifts(tm) scenario) The only reason I'm doing all this FF stuff is because I'm in the middle (well closer to the beginning, actually) of a massive Final Fantasy mod, which I'd like to finish before I go on deployment, so I've been kinda busy with that. Don't worry, though. I'll probably be throwing in some actual/other fantasy buildings once this mod is done.:crazyeye:

Now all I need is time to acutally play the game (besides playtesting scenarios ) or I might just get burnt out.
