I remember watchin Australia's version of "Who wants to be a Millionaire?", and they had a nearly wed show, where soon to be married couples and there was bit of discussion between a couple and I said to my mum, "To solve this, they need to go rock, paper, scissors." My mum said that noone one on tv would do that, and right after my mum said that, the woman of the couple suggested that they do r,p,s to decide the choice they would make. We are playing other cultures in this game. Russian, brazil, others...Will you take into account the "national personality" into account when dealing with them. For example..if you have dealth with brazilians they are a proud group that typically will argue with their last breath and generally do not have much respect for women. woudl you try to use that to our advantage..inother know you renemy adn use that

I will use any advantage we have, but I am sure Croxis would do the same.
I would also say that were is no such thing as National Personality. Many of us USA people would be very different and with very different personalities and ideologies. The same would apply for the Russians and the Brazilians. Not all of the Brazilians were proud, not all were sexest.

GENERALLY..there are cultural differences that influence the way a person thinks.( america may be the exception).
SO you will see an Asian approach diplomancy very differntly than some one from Brazil. Russia different than both.
I see you are younger than me( not an issue dont take it as such) But in grad school I was working with Brazilians, Columbia and Chinese students who when placed in a certain situation all reacted differntly. When the professor explained cultural learning and how it influences how we see ourselves in teh world... their reactions made sense based on their national history.
SO my questions is..sort round about way to get there..will you check on the forums we are dealing with and try to use their"cultural" history to our advantage. You have a couple of cultures..the forum culture and the national culture.
Does that explain what I am looking for. Basically you cant treat every forum the same in diplo. example...You may be able to joke with one culture about backstabbing them but not another.

While yes, I will use advantages we have, however I think there is a very dangerous line that we MUST be careful of. You are correct in that cultures bring about different ways of looking, understanding, and acting in the universe (different paradigms if you will), even Americans. What we must be careful of is forcing the portrayal of stereotypes. If I read a passive aggressive subtext in something insinuating I'm a dumb fanatical American Christian I will be very very insulted. (After dating my boyfriend I have become very good at find passive aggressive undertones

I see three levels of culture, the national background of the forums (as, and please voice exceptions as your knowledge will be very helpful, but for example this is a western centric forum), the culture of the forum, as well as the culture of the two interacting ambassadors. Refining our interactions into the context of these different cultural background will very much help forward our agenda.
Sadly my background in this context is based in gender and sexuality (if any of you people have lady issues, I can also set up the Ministry Of Love and offer dating and relationship advice), but with the foundation in place I will be using the cultural experience of our community to help us win.
