TerraNES2: SilliNES Part 1: The Invisible Hand is In Your Pants

A Threat

This shows the basic intent of this NES, with the help of some friends.

I currently have 10 players. Insert some kind of threat number here. If not met, then I'll retire this NES and start the other one.

The Black Dogs have clearly shown our strength! Glory to our pack as we secure as much land as possible and devastate the Red Foxes!

We will turn to deal with the Red Dragons soon but perhaps though two enemies are not necessary. We are open to a peace treaty with the Red Dragons in return for them not hurting the Land Roar more so. Perhaps we can form a trio of strength to ensure victory.

A messengers has been set off to Wales; accept peace offer and we might see trade...

As for the Red Foxes: we will request they accept our offer of protection and be a vessel to us; that way we guard them from raiders (like us) and have access to the resources as well as additional warriors.

What do you mean insert somekind of threat number? What are we supposed to do with that link? I'm confused

Let me know if you want orders, Terrance, and I'll post them tonight.

RP challenge: Characterize one's neighbors.

The ugly-yellow/orange fellow in OTL Lebanon is called the Otterhater Oligarchy, and is made up of people who largely hate Otters and have a Cobra for a god, which eats Otters every night as the sun sets below the horizon.

The purple guys north of Greece are called the Sillysian, and nominally have an army of 100,000 Hoplites on hand, and generally hate the greeks.

Just some friendly thoughts on my neighbors!

To: Sillysians
From: Topkapi

We would like to re-affirm our days-old friendship with a gift of 100 freed men (really a nicer term or slave in our opinion) and perhaps a friendly handshake.

(unbeknownst to Christos and Greece:

Secretly, if those crazy greeks bother you, just give us a call, okay?)

To: Greek Empire
From: Topkapi

Greetings! Want to trade some amber, wine and slaves for our awesome wheat and silver and such? Our economies would do better if we were friends and whatnot.

Quit because I lost all of my territories.

Oguro Orders:

- One day, a bored Oguro chief will order the construction of an abnormally large river boat for his personal entourage to use. Not to be outdone, another chief just downstream will order the construction of an even larger boat! With cup-holders! Soon both chiefs will be building boats that can't actually enter the river, but damn do they look classy. Both chiefs later die on the same day. Boat Idiots Day is now celebrated region wide on that day. With the thousands of acres of forest that has been cleared for such a trivial contest, sensible Oguro will expand their farms, pushing inland.

- Oguro settlements not located on the river begin to explore the coastline, looking for natural harbors to colonize. The coastline Oguro... they're... they're less exciting then the river folk.

Say: does the Red Foxes and Red Dragons accept my other? I need to know before I can do my orders. :)

From Red Dragons

First, we demand that you return two hundred heads of sheep and ten of ram so that the northern coast, once depopulated, can be restored to its productivity for its people. Only then will we accept peace from you. (This would be about 2/3 of the size you stole, and 1/3 of your current flock, I'm guessing)

From the Red Foxes

Since when do raiders know how to defend? All you know is attack. Even your defense from our attack was attack! I call your buff. We are inland now, surrounded by friends and allies and sitting on full granaries. Can't touch this!

Oh yeah, orders due in 2 hours.

EDIT

From Sillisia

Sure thanks!

(Secret: Meh, we're fine for now.)

I only have 2 sets of orders out of 11.

Otterman Orders:

Start building a military fleet in the Mediterranean.

Perform counter-raids against the desert nomads to start culling their numbers.

Build a Great Temple in Ottdad.

I suggest that if people don't send orders for 1 turn then you outline what happens rolling on the general situation and depending on the outcome their inactivity becomes either a good thing,a bad or a no effect. In 2 turns of inactivity you warn these players and in 3 you kick them out of the game.

Well one thing, two strikes is what most mods roll with anyways (or 3 total, with chances to reduce that number.) The other thing is if I don't get more orders in 1 hour (at least more than halfway aka 6) then I'm ending this NES and starting SilliNES2, which is much better designed and clearer about my intentions.

ACTUALLY WAIT EUPRATES IS STILL ALIVE

CALL THE ARMY! CALL THE ARMY RIGHT NOW!

Because they barricaded the river, we will invade through Antioch. Get them to agree to our passing and move our army north into their place. Actually, occupy Antioch too why the hell not.

Invade south after securing the footold across Antioch. Barricades work both ways so they probably cannot counterinvade across Euprates.

Use standard tactics of using light horsemen to launch raids while the heavy horsemen and infantry wage siege warfare.

Wait, what.

Did I up load wrong map.

>.>

EDIT: Seon, dayam, you are the best. Dude, I like you so much better when you are whimsical than when you are grimdark/scheming. Not only are you more approachable, your country feels more fun too!
