I don't think we have the mods to cover everyone. Last year FredLC was the only mod to join, and I don't think he was even a mod at the time. They may not be allowed to, lest some new members get confused as to who's a mod

I would like to but it will create too much problems so that's why I don't.

If I ever lay down my moderatorship I will partcipate in this switch.
