The Capo's LH Gallery and Self-Help Thread!

I think that the fact we made every LH possible also brought the end of the LH making golden age.

Even if the golden age is over, I am very proud to have been even but a small part of it, having the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated and brilliant people.

etc. etc. etc.

Well, the Civ3 modding community still seems to be going strong, so I doubt the Civ4 LHs will go out of business so quickly.

Oh man, that's crazy. I nearly forgot that my first LH was (supposed to look like) Gustav Adolph, awesome. :goodjob:

And yes, as soon as DipII is done the new LHs will flow.

The fans of embryodead's The Sword of Islam are already eagerly awaiting your Harun al-Rashid :goodjob:

I'm waiting for Cavour LH!! :bounce:

If one of you wants to merge Inquisitors and Tsentom's Inquisition Project into my mod then you would get your leaders soon. If not, you'll just have to wait 'til I finish the job. ;)

The Inquistion Project should be easy enough to merge. Inquistions maybe a bit more complicated if SDK needed.

I'll do it if it means you'll get back to releasing your great leaderheads!

The Inquisition Project I could probably do on my own, I haven't got around to it yet though. The Inquisition itself doesn't require SDK, but for whatever reason I have failed at four attempts. So if you are serious I can send you all of the stuff you will need to do it. If you are able to I can finish the next wave of LHs within a week or two and then get on to the Harun al-Rashid, Jefferson etc. bunch. Up to you.

I am serious, send the files, I'll do it.

I've done a whole lot of coding, I've been rewriting my own mod from the ground up so I've basically created 3 major "everything" mods (by everything I mean everything: techs, units, leaders, python, sdk, xml, art buttons, fonts, wikipedia research :D etc etc). I'm pretty confident in my modding abilities now at this point in my civ 4 modding career, I'll try it.

Alright, if you could give me until the weekend to prepare the mod for you to merge, and get some resources together for you (instructions, units, yes you will be adding units to it, etc.) to use. Once you get this finished I will still need a couple of days to get the mod ready for the next playtest and once that is done this next wave of LHs should be ready (as I stated before they are mostly completed). :goodjob:

I haven't merged the Inquistions mod myself, but I have some experience running into what I suspect you had similar problems with when I was working with the Tsentom1's Great Doctor mod. The problem getting the button to show up for the inquisitor is coded in a similar place and can be a bit of a tricky area of code since it deals with the mainscreen.

Anyway, just send me a PM when ready. I'm on leave mostly this week so I've got a bit of free time.

Alright, well it involves some new units I have made specifically for it (which haven't all been tested BTW). So I'll not only provide the units I have created but a generic one to use as well in case you run into problems. I haven't made buttons for all of them yet as they are not all finished/finalized so I can provide a generic button for you too. I'm going to package it all together and upload it, which might take me a few days because it is a big file and I might not have all the free time at once to do it all at once.

I changed some details to use your Vercingetorix as a viking leader ( Knut Innriki ) in Ethnic Mix More mod ... hope you don't mind !

I added too your Cochise and Mongkut :) I love them. And I plan to modify the color of the skin of Cetshwayo to use as a maori leader ... :D

May I ask you to fix the hairs and the beard of William Wallace if you have some time of course ? ( the one I posted )

Thanks :)

Which William Wallace?

This will, probably, involve some work in blender. So if you are unfamiliar with the program, now would be a good time to DL it and start messing around with it. There is a link to Ekmek's LH guide in the OP of this thread. He has links to everything you need there (that is, if you don't already have it all).

This one ...

Come on The Capo, I never ask anything :p I'm sure you can fix it in few minutes ! ;)

Yes, I have read these excellent guides. When I want to transform something in 3D, I use 3DS Max. I don't do much for instance ... because I have a "real life" ... but yes, I know, I have to digg much more the 3D way :)

I'll see what I can do, although I am pretty sure I released a William Wallace LH myself at some point (don't remember if I uploaded it or sent it to someone, but I'll check) so I'd almost rather you just used that one. It sort of doesn't make sense to work on an LH for someone when you have already made the guy. But yeah, I'll take a look at it, I'm sure it is pretty easy to do.

Damn, nearly forgot...

YAGAN

yaganfinal_x8d.jpg

Well, it has been a while everybody. But I'm back to making LHs for a while, so here is the first one of what should be around eight to twelve in around a month or two (don't hold me to that).

This LH is based off of the old Aboriginal LHs that have been knocking around CFC. But with more realistic attire, shaders, and in my opinion a better overall concept. Yagan was a Australian Aboriginal warrior from the Noongar tribe, and was an isntrumental figure in the Aboriginal resistance against the British settlers of Australia. After being captured his head was removed and used as a symbol of British authority, although Yagan was viewed as a hero, particularly amongst his fellow Noongar people.

NEXT UP: Cavour is next, as soon as I can get Lincoln's suit working properly and am able to make it "fatter." Wish me luck. :goodjob:

You make me want to pick up on some unfinished projects.

Nifty job again, anyhow; I look forward to your next LHs. :goodjob:
