The Capo's LH Gallery and Self-Help Thread!

I am going to remove the collar then. As far as the medallion thing goes, I just kinda made it up. I am going to replace the eagle with the coat of arms of Savoy, if everyone thinks it is appropriate that is.

Okay guys, I am working on the final touches to Camillo, I am also working on a project for Cool (one I should have finished MONTHS ago  ) that I will release along with this LH. Sorry about all of the delays, I have just been side-tracked with a lot of things (both Civ and RL).

Also I will probably not have internet acess at home for the next few days.

Okay, got the new wireless connector. I first have to finish up an LH I am making for a specific request for a pretty popular mod. So once that is finished I will finish Cavour, I wanted to do Cavour first but they need the other one very soon. I'm sure you'll see who the leader is and what is for soon enough.

Capo,

I found this for GIMP. It converts our dds files into a normal map (the funky blue one) so it might make shading better. I've created a normal with it so it does work but I havent tried it ingame since Ihaven't reinstalled civ4 yet.

the normal map works - they are already used them in game (eg alexander has his normal map from this script)

What do you use for the other maps? just greyscale and then reuse the env?

mostly it´s greyscale of the diff - and afterwards heavy adjustments with brightness and contrast (and sometimes partial (manual done) adjustments are necessary, eg if a part of a texture is really bright, but shall only very few gloss etc)

I just wanted to tell you guys I am in the testing stage with Cavour and I am also working on improving upon Zerver's St. Stephan for Hungary, although I am not the only one so I can not guarantee when that will be finished. Other LHs are also in the works (like actually party finished) so there should be a good deal of material from me soon. Sorry for the wait, I hope I haven't delayed anybody's projects. :(

I like the sound of a that kind of party

Leaderhead Party, eh? Now that sounds awesome!

The Capo, I just thought I'd inform you that I'm using your Yaroslav leaderhead for my Kievan Rus module (which hasn't been released yet but probably will be at some point). Thanks for making it, you did a really good job. :)

So, for some reason I can't get rid of the pink parts on Cavour, he is basically done. I'll post a screen in a minute after toying around with it a bit. :goodjob:

...yeah sorry, I kinda forgot and went to bed and just saw this. I've been really busy, anyway, I know I've said this before but this time it is true. He is nearly finished, I just have to edit the transparency on the glasses, color them gold, do some minor reskinning and shader him.

As far as the next LH, we have Arpad coming up. I sent out a preview quite a while ago, but I am going to make a few changes to that one (as per some suggestions from some Magyars :goodjob: ). I am really only editing the helmet/hat and changing up some accessories so that one should be out in a couple of weeks.

Awesome! :goodjob:

Do you still intend to release the previous, differently-collared (and colored :D) version of Cavour as well?

Can't wait to see your first drafts on Arpad, too. Personally I've hoped for either Lorenzo de'Medici or Harun al-Rashid, but I'm sure he'll also be great.

Awesome, can't wait to see him in-game :)
