Just click on the mesh, and in Block Details there is a line called Translation. Just try moving one of the Axes aroung until it looks right. (I don't know for sure, but I think its the z-Axis.)

Don't worry, I got this before trying what Flint said. So how do I know what I am modifying? Does the model itself move a little for reference or do I just have to wing it?
 
Wait, HOW do I change the view? I want to zoom out a little and raise the model a bit so you can see the rest of his suit. And by how I mean like, how. Do I use blender or Nifskope or what? I've never done this.
 
Well I toyed around in Nifskope and figured out (sort of) how to move the camera around and I think I got a good shot of the model, but the background isn't centered (or whatever, not moved into position behind him) and I don't want to screw anything up so if anyone knows how I can move that around that would be helpful. I noticed I also have to alter the armband a bit because its too big. This is Bernie's reskin, which I knew would look fantastic. Part of the reason I zoomed out is so you can see the full glory of the retexture (since the original was so up-close you couldn't see the medal, or his sash and belt):

So I think it looks great. I might change the buttons to silver ala smeagolheart's texture, but other than that I think its awesome. Thoughts?

EDIT: Also how do I get rid of that blue tint on his face and hands again?
 
I wasn't able to get it so that the image fills the background though (notice the red accross the bottom) but if anyone could tell me what exactly I have to manipulate to do this that'd be great

Easy fix! just open the BG nif and change the size of the BG'dds from 1.000 to 1.1 or you can do the translation to move it down (I usually enlarge the image though)

PS - I forgot to give kudos to my man bernie - you are amazing! you are officially never allowed to leave this line of work :)

ok, i wrote up a tutorial on how to change lighting intensity, colors and even transparancy.....that's the good news :D, the bad news is that it is for nifviewer :sad:

What are we going to do about the background. though?

We had the same problem with the red borders changing the background for Ataturk.

Not a problem, at least not from my perspective; I have played around with the hair-color, and honestly so long as we can not get Chuggi's hair and mustache (c'mon Ekmek!!!!) we can get this to look perfect, I have no doubt in my mind!!!

@ Ekmek; if you could just get the nif files up, I can texturize them and everything, I just can't get a compatible nif from Chuggi's Hitler.... it won't import. HELP!
 
I have decided to do all of my Hitler postings in the Hitler and Mussolini thread. I will update this thread with the appropriate files when it is finished. I'd suggest anyone that is reading this to check it out, its looking amazing right now.

But I have started to work on Nagy for Cool and his Magyar civ and I came accross a problem that I haven't seen before, but have heard of in passing. It says infinite recursive link construct detected. Now apparently this LH has a problem with his eyes popping out of his head and his mouth acting funny, so I figured I might have to redo the entire LH anyway. But I am hoping someone else knows what this issue is. I have posted a screen shot (there seems to be a lot of these errors) so hopefully this will help.

In case you are wondering (those of you who have made requests) I will be working on Ulmanis for Latvia, and Nasser for Arabia/Egypt, as well as helping NikNaks on an Inuit LH. I have plenty more coming around as well and after that I will go back to taking open requests... maybe... :mischief:

Yeah, I have recognized that, but...
a) this doesn't seem to be a problem for civ4, there is no obvios problem because of that
b) cfkanes Firefly had the same eye problem as my Nagy, but didn't have this recursive loop error, so I doubt the two are connected.

However, maybe it would help to reexport the LH with Blender for example. Maybe it is able to correct the tree...
 
I haven't done anything to it just yet, I just messed around in NifSkope a bit and this came up when I removed the head/hands. I had to go over to my parents house for mother's day and I just got back an hour ago so I haven't really touched it. Basically what I am going to do is take this bad boy into blender and rework it. So it's going to look a bit different in its final version, but I think I can actually improve upon it. I've found the drive to do LHs again, especially after our Hitler masterpiece!
 
These errors were already in my version, so probably they haven't been caused by the capos changes. From what I remember I only moved around some vertices. I haven't even deleted any vertex, I think. Maybe it has something to do with the exporter... But I strictly followed ploeperpengels tutorial :rolleyes:

Also, feel free to make any changes you want. I am not that patient to make it more accurate... And I am also not a pro like you guys. IMO the hair could need some work, maybe the eyes (really characteristic for that person I'd say) and the nose, too. Let me know if you need pictures of Imre Nagy.

Wow, this really looks great and the background adds a lot to this dark atmosphere. You can really see you are talking to a crazy evil leader that cannot be trusted! Hopefully your next LHs will look as cool as this one! Hopefully, these will also be LHs I will want to download and install!:)
