In this thread, only nice comments are allowed.

More specifically, this thread is used only to complement other posters. Do not compliment yourself (lol) but if you have something nice to say about another poster, this is the place to do it.

You can compliment something you think they are good at, or if you think they have a good heart/soul, if you think they're doing a good job at life, etc.

No negativity here whatsoever, please.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I'll start us off:

Timsup2nothin: We don't necessarily always have the same political views but I enjoy talking to him. He is also very knowledgeable about American football, and I have learned a lot from him. He has given me advice in this story I'm writing. Seems like a good person.

Hobbsyoyo: Very intelligent, ambitious, and good-hearted man. Knows far more about space than anyone else in OT as far as I'm aware. Used to play Civ with him.

Lemon_Merchant: Has been very kind to me. Also given me great advice about how to cope with mental illness. Is a therapist IRL IIRC, and has put her knowledge to good use on the forums.

Farm_boy: Another poster who I often don't agree with, but is extremely good at empathizing and as such I always have to give his posts serious consideration.

Synsensa: Has helped me many times, about many things. Not the least of which is my writing. All around good human being and he doesn't deserve his health problems at all.

rah: Another good-hearted poster who is very enjoyable to discuss with. He is not snide or condensing when posting here. Also knowledgeable about American football, which is something I highly value.

Kaitzilla: Very interesting person. He often has comments that (to me) are way out in left field, but still informative and interesting. He has also help turn my more extreme points of view to a more moderate level on multiple occasions.

Dachs: Has taught me a lot about history, particularly good at answering my WW2 questions.

Sommerswerd: Has been extremely kind to me through thick and thin. We often don't have the same political opinions but he's such a good human being that that is thoroughly irrelevant to me. Has given me great advice about all kinds of things. Knows tons about American football.

Hygro: Can say the same with Sommerswerd, except replace football with electronic music.

Owen_Glwyndr: Has said some harsh things to me in the distant past, which at the time I loathed, but after time I realized he was absolutely right. And I am a better person for it. He has told me on many occasions what I need to hear instead of what I want to hear, and that has paid me dividends in the long run. He's also once told me that he sees a younger version of himself in me at one point, though he's never clarified on what he meant by that AFAIK.

Bootsroots: Also very enjoyable to discuss with, we have fairly similar politicals views as far as I can tell, and has given me great advice when I didn't know where else to turn to. His chemistry expertise makes him a unique individual at CFC.

Traitorfish: We often don't see eye to eye politically but he is a great person to converse with. He is understanding of those who don't agree with him, and he is articulate and knowledgable on so many things.

Commodore: By far the most real-life badass on CFC. We also seem to have very similar political views.

Light_Cleric: has given me nice career advice before. He has also witnessed my growing pains from when I knew virtually nothing about American football and talking out of my ass to where I am now. I also like his style of posting, he has a funny way of making his point.

shadowplay: Has always been very kind to me. I can't remember a single unpleasant experience I've had with him.

If I'm missing anyone (that I know well enough to say something nice about) I am sorry.

I like almost everyone here! Filled with thoughtful people.

I'm positive that I can't contribute to this thread, but I like the premise. :)

@Elta is my main man!

I like ElMac too, he's a cool cat, doesn't seem to get his panties in a twist as easily as most of y'all

I appreciate the sentiment, Cake, but I, well, disagree. Thanks, though.

I'll pile onto the Hobbs love train. He seems to be one of the only people here who gives a damn beyond drive-by posts. Talking to him is like talking to someone IRL, and there's less of a "I'm just here to hear my own thoughts" feeling to what he says.

Lex, Yung, TF and Hobb, they have a stance that coming what seems to me from a good intention, and Yung is always special, even though he is nice he can also be brutally honest as well, I really admire that, very real personality.

I like Tim he surely seems like someone who seen a lot, and I find strangely Akka post to be funny. And birdjaguar to be inspiring, as old as my father but both successful and never lost appetite to play games, he gives me more courage facing the future old age, seems not so bad. And Ericka is so funny also JR.

Nevertheless I think not only Hygro, but most of you guys are cool and nice people at heart.

MaryKB has given me a lot to think about with the huge writing project I've had going on during this past year (it's actually been a year now since I started musing about turning a medieval-themed computer game into a novel). She asked some very good questions that started me thinking about some of the characters I'd previously overlooked, and that led to whole new storylines.

Zkribbler has also helped me with my writing, and is fun to bounce ideas around with (for both our projects). His advice on how to adjust my word processing program to make it easier to use with my failing eyesight made all the difference in being able to carry on with NaNoWriMo this year.

Petek, while not an OT regular, is one of the admins who has indulged me in adding smileys to the forum. Next time you want to give a  or a :grouphug:, thank Petek for installing them when I asked him to.

Warpus has been so generous with us, in sharing his vacation experiences over the past several years. It's the only way I've been able to see those places, as travel isn't something I can do much of anymore - certainly not that kind of travel. The Norway thread was especially appreciated, since some of the places he traveled are in the area of Norway where part of my grandfather's family is from.

Aimee has shared many links with me about books, writing, and cats over the years.

I very much like our resident cat lady ! :) (Hope You don't mind the term Valka D'Ur) The things I like about You the most is that You're a kind of person that I'd like to hang out with :) Over some board game or pen and paper RPG preferably (I do believe given Your writing talent You'd make an excellent Dungeon Master !) . World would be a better place if we had more star gazing* ladies like Valka :)

By star gazing I mean people with a wonderful imagination and a kind heart - Dreamers so to speak ;)

Thank you for the compliment cake. I think you might be the first person to use the term "badass" to describe me.

Don't really know what to say here though. It's not that I don't have anything positive to say about any of you, I just can't think of anything that doesn't sound cheesy.

I guess I'll say that there's a reason I keep coming back here after all these years, and it's not because I hate you guys.
