In the spirit of Teturkhan's This is historically incorrect!, Check out King Brennus of the Celts!

Not only is he bald and has to resort to a hairpiece made of thatch, but he could be Genghis Khan's lost twin brother. I mean his skin is lighter but that could be from living up north and a lot less sun...........

I think we need to call Mulder and Scully

Regarding the leader heads... I think Firaxis is just being lazy. A lot more could be done. Ever realise that all the Civ leaders have the same expression in Polite/Annoyed/Angry/whatever modes?

Also, a bald Modern Joan smacks of being inconsiderate. Are they trying to make a racist/nationalist joke about the French?

Yes. Gandhi looks bad. To add - he is portrayed as wearing a western suit in the Industrial Age. Is there a necessity to do this to a nationalist leader whose lifestyle has been one of thrift and pro-Indian culture? Do you ever remember seeing a Gandhi in his glory days in something even resembling a western suit? Once again - not very considerate. Even to the point of being intentionally insensitive.

And now, Genghis. He doesn't even look like someone from the steppes!

Also, Firaxis seems really ill-informed if they think Alexander the Great has paler skin than Caesar of Rome. *sigh* At least Cleo has dark skin.

:( I really hope Firaxis can be more repsectful of history by doing justice to the civ leaders. If they are worthy enough to be called the leaders of their people, they should be accorded some respect and have their animated heads done with at least some attempt at being correct, without glaring inconsistencies.

Joan is bald because you shave your head when you join the military, if you look her tank top says 'armie' which is French for a word I think you might know.

Gandhi wearing Western clothes shows a complete ignorance by Firaxis about what Indian people actually even wore at that time, this also goes for Hiawatha (at least he keeps his feathers), Shaka and Montezuma, why would they adopt western clothing in the first place? Mao and Tokugawa kept Asian clothing so why not them?

Is it just me or does Xerex's face just look...I dunno.....weird
And of course Genghis doesn't look he's from the Steppes, in that picture he doesn't even look human!

Regarding Joan. I've thought about the possibility that she's recruited into the army. However... even recruits have a thin layer of hair, not completely bald. Besides, I think Joan is/should be a recruit? She should be at least holding officer rank...

Yes, all the non-Western civ leaders should have non-Western clothing, especially Tokugawa and Gandhi, since there are clear historical examples to draw from.

To tell you the truth, I just noticed that today.

BTW There's a picture of someone on the dartboard.
Looks a bit like Caesar but I don't know what Caesar would have to do with Montezuma...
