It's funny seeing how many people get all bent out of shape because of minor inconsistencies with the leader portraits. I mean, really, if that's your biggest gripe with this game then it's got to be darn near perfect. Come on guys, this isn't a big deal. There are a million and one things I'd tweak in this game before I'd ever give a passing thought to the leader portraits.

Forget the dartboard what's with those skyscrapers doing back there?

Have you guys forgotten Catherine? How can you go about insulting Elizabeth and Joan when Catherine is around.

Graphics do matter. And unlike gameplay where the "obvious truth" behind decisions and suggestions are susceptible to the uncertainty of the programmers' underlying assumptions and aims, the leader portraits are often objectively verifiable with (often historical) references.

Moreover, given the fact that Firaxis has made CivIII such that leader portraits are not easily customisable, players are thrust upon them pictures without much choice. As such, Firaxis would have been wiser to moderate and be more sensitive in the creation of leader portraits. That they haven't warrants complaint and suggestions.

Seriously. I dread India calling for a diplomatic meeting every time I play. And I believe that'll happen to the Mongols if I get PTW.

I guess some people don't know when we're just pokin' fun, someone post a pic of Cathy (I can't I'm at work) and see what fun stuff we can come up with about her

I'll do the pleasure. Get a load of this hellacious hottie from Russia.

Funny thing is, during her youth Catherine was meant to be very beautiful/good looking. She just went really down hill in her old age.

Catherine was actually a German who married the Czar, and then took power.

You can't blame the Russians for that genetic mishap.

About Gandhi... the guy was educated in law in London so I don't see why he could not have worn something western.
