I am about to watch the 4th episode Knight VS Pirate.
It's not the most accurate show ...... and rarely would these type of warriors meet in an open field and fight, but man does it bring out the little kid in me
Yeah, it's an entertaining show. I mean, you learn a lot of things about ninjas, pirates, spartans, etc., the sorts of weapons they used, how good they are, etc.
But I mean, what's up with the programmer dude? That guy just annoys me.. I am a programmer myself and just sort of chuckle when he's describing the "state of the art program" that pits these warriors against eachother, which looks like a freakin'
Excel Spreadsheet
I mean, it'd be kind of interesting to hear a bit about how this "state of the art" program is supposed to work - but it looks to me like it's all BS and there to give the show a bit of legitimacy.
I mean, the show is cool in the sense that you learn cool facts about ninjas, samurai, etc. and the sorts of weapons they used, how effective they were, etc., but for the most part the show is just a bunch of guys going "no, my guy is better" "no way, mine is!". The child-like bickering between the "experts" (like, seriously, how do you become a "pirate weapons expert" anyway?) is really annoying, but it is pretty cool when they compare the short range weapons, then the long range, etc. But then the y throw a bunch of numbers into a magical excel spreadsheet, and boom, we have an answer!
So yeah.. cool show, but parts of it are annoying
