OOC: Does anyone's character have a son? *wink wink, nudge nudge*
Also, how does the despot decide who to promote, because I have a yearning to get out of this Lower Gentry class.

IC:

Sage Romana walks along a path through the forest. She bumps into Atrous and Izcoatl returning to their hut.

Romana: Good day, noble Sages.

Izcoatl: Good day, young Sage.

Atrous: Good day Sage Romana, what news of your cats?

Romana: Not good I am afraid. Two of my cats have not returned from hunting down Poldothar and his gang. Also, rumor has it that two more people have joined his group of rebels.

Atrous: This is not good, but we are still the stronger side. I want you to continue your effort to track down the assasins. Always be persistent, try and hit them as much as possible to keep them afraid.

Romana: Very good sir, good day to you.

OOC: Atrous has declined our deal discussed in a private chat, whereby Aza would get domain over a plains square and the opportunity to build a warrior in return for relinquishing the position of heir to Atrous. However, he has given Aza command over a warrior unit, and Aza has taken an oath that he will not betray Atrous. If he breaks this oath, he will be executed.

Plexus, does Octavian need to grant approval of the raising of troops, or are the troops already raised automatically?

Atrous: Aza, this deal is good for no one but your self. I decline.

Despot's Declaration:

At my passing:
-The despotism will pass to Aza. After Aza dies, the despotism will pass to my son, Tasius.
-The land of the Empire will be split between my daughter and my son following my death. My daughter will recive Gorina and surrounding lands, my son will recive Noshuet and all future lands.
-My son Tasius will recive command of all troops that are under my command at my passing. They will sware fealty to Tasius or they will face execution.

I would like to announce that my Helena will marry Diutius Lifespanius, son of Baron Lifespanius.

Diutius raises a glass of wine to Atrous in celebration of the wedding announcement. His smile beaming across the gathering.

"Endless thanks, Sage Atrous. I shall make you proud of me, and I shall make Helena the happiest woman in the world. To the future!"

Briefus and Katra look on. Warm smiles and tear-filled eyes take priority here. Briefus raises his glass.

Sentana Decimus wishes the best of luck to Diutius and Helena. This marriage will solidify the Lifespanius family line in the history books. I only hope that those bloody rebels will not disrupt the wedding.

HELENA:
Oh Diutius my love. I knew my father would choose the best of the best. I still can remember the times when we and my brother played in the palace gardens :-)
Do you still know the secret place where we hided us from my brother?

Ah, Helena, thank you. But it is I who is about to marry the jewel of Fanatica. I can not wait until your tender fragrance feels our home in Gorina. Soon we will have children of our own to play in the gardens.

And speaking of your question,...your childhood memory was always better than mine. If I were to make a guess about a secret hiding place, I would say the grand old tree. We used to lounge in its branches on summer afternoons, although I wasn't aware we were hiding from Tasius (the bold). I had other motives in mind...

Thank you Brian and Sentana. Please enjoy the best of what our wedding has to offer our guests. We shall see you there. Be aware that the entire Plaza will be heavily guarded, as safety will be a main concern.

OOC: Stuck, would those names be from "Almost Famous"? ;)

Tasius: Leon, I would be a lucky man to take your daughter's hand in marriage. I request the oppritunity to marry your daughter.
Kaeso Sidonius Leon: Then it will happen, your highness. It honors me greatly that you would choose my daughter.
---
Let it be known that Tasius the Bold shall be wed to Aquilla, daughter of Leon the Merchant.

OOC: I am getting confused. Rebels? Since when? There was only the assassination atempt against Aza. I don't remember a rebel group forming...

Antonius and Aurelia are at the wedding with their new son, Antony.

Aurelia: Congradulations Helena on your marriage. I hope you two will be very happy.

Antonius: Congradulations Lifespanius. May you be very happy.

Lauren: Terrible news, my lord. A crazy man by the name of John the Travler has kidnapped your daughter! He now claims to be her husband and states that she is pregnant with your child! What is worse, he considers himself to be a royal! The man is obviously insane. I highly recomend you use your army to put a stop to this. If not, I will do it myself. My arrow is ready and my falcon sharp. My sons will join me to help. All you need to do is command the attack, and your will shall be done.

Aza: I will commit my warrior unit to the attack this madman.
A group of warriors with stone axes gathers around Aza.

@ Stuck. Ah, required reading. Another Shakespeare's tale. Good luck with Kate, you should be quite busy for a while.

 The Town Cryer:

Hear ye all, the rumors of John the Madman are just that! Rumors. Fables if you will. There is no threat to the Royal family. This was all a hoax.

Hear ye all, the rumors of John the Madman are just that! Rumors. Fables if you will.......

I will have continuous guard, no one can come near me. There is no way for an assassin to get to where I am without dying first.
