The drawing thread

Sigh. I thought these turned out better than they did. Maybe they looked better on paper, or I'm just fooling myself. It didn't help that I forgot how to apply colour effects in Paint.NET.

My attempt at Gameboy Pallete thingy

Whenever I try to draw it takes several months and it ends up terrible.

Well, um, thanks. It's just that that was nonstop in front of a computer screen which is the worst.

Noooope. Not obvious.

^ Looks great! Maybe it's just me but I'd up the contrast a bit, idk.

(if it's not obvious that guy there is supposed to be Locke of Lost and Nuzlocke fame)

That's what I think but I can't just increase the contrast, I need to draw more shadows. And I'm afraid I'd mess it up because it looks perfect.

(It certainly looks like Locke to me.)

Haha, I think it's hardly perfect if you think it can be improved. :P
People always say I can't be improved. Maybe I should take it as a compliment.

Ah, well, I should work on my drawing-actual-people skills.
No resemblance 'cos I don't know who they are. :p

Ah, well, I should work on my drawing-actual-people skills.

It's really hard. At least photo-realistic drawings.

Speaking of which, I upped the contrast and fixed her shirt:

Holy crap Meteor Man! That's phenomenal! The time you took drawing it shows. =]

Great stuff, FC; your imagination is strong as always I can see!

I've made several SS pages since the last one, 2-12. Here's 2.13; I've linked to the comic's site on Smackjeeves(just click the image) to keep this condensed:

Spoiler :

In Sonic Shift-related news, I've been sketching the appearances of later characters, putting a spin on them.

Just an idea of what Shadow might look like. He'll probably ditch the casual clothes for something else. I mostly just added to his spines and altered the patterns of his streaks. His muzzle is also a much darker shade of brown. Overall plan is to have him be much more villainous than his videogame incarnation.

Angel. Unlike in most incarnations, Knuckles is fully aware of his people's existence, but is forced to live in isolation from them as per his duties. One of his connections to the outside world is this friendly individual. His white coloration is the result of his having attained mastery of white chaos energy.

Edit: And hilariously enough, he was posted in the 666th reply! :rotfl:

This one took at LEAST 10 hours. :cringe:
WHAT ONLY TEN HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE

Whenever I try to draw it takes several months and it ends up terrible fabulous.
Fixed it for you. :mischief:

moar locke
Now that looks like Locke.

His muzzle is also a much darker shade of brown.
Really, man? What next, give him a pair of pistols and have him talk in ebonics? And you of all people..!

My attempt at a (crappy) Sabre and Scythe thingy

Alas no Meteorman, I'm just practising sprites.

An hour or two later here's an update...

That's pretty cool. Different kind of art that I can appreciate. :)

Here's the next one I'm working on:

Who's it supposed to be? I like the results.

Realistic knees!

(I'll have to start drawing again once I finish these friggan' essays or I'll start losing what little touch I still have with yon Inkscape. :()

btw I didn't realise it was Hannigan.
