The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

This game is bloody good, I joined the theives guild (but becuase of my fighters guild affiliation) I havnt really advanced BUT, I got a tip from a homeless as to where GreyFox is, and I thought, sweetness, what an opportunity to meet good 'ole foxy. Well, I get to this abandoned shack and its some poor sud sleeping. He didnt have the mask though, I went and pickpocketed him and voila, there was the mask. But hes hardcoded to catch you no matter what though so I reloaded(I didnt want to get kicked out of the guild) but I know who he is now.

By the way, I also learned a spell to open "very easy locks" and I was wondering if there were spells for higher level locks to, and if so, dont tell me where!!!!

Yes there is... and their aaaaall located at... :p
But you'll need to get your alternation skill up before you can use them.

You may know WHAT he looks like, but you have no idea WHO he is. ;)

I do. I bet you can get a good guess of who he is before you actualy meet him. If you like to talk to everyone in the game and especialy at my fav port city.

I got a open hard locks spell, open very easy and easy lock spells are USELESS as they take up space and you can just pick them anyways :crazyeye:

I think Chelynderhal (SP?) is my fav city, it's so beutiful. Anvil is also very pretty.
Bruma - Too Nordic.
Imperial City - Pretty, but it's the center of attraction 4th fav.
Bravil - Needs more Argonians and poor people, it looks poor.
Leyowen (SP?) - Meh, I'm neutral to it.
Skinngrad - Nice, crowded, but nice, and nice farmlands too, my 3rd fav.
Kvatch- Er, I'd have liked to see it BEFORE it was destroyed, also would be nice if they could get on with the rebuilding (MOD IDEA).
Chorrol - Nice, 5th fav city, have not been there much though, kind of a country/hill place.

I like how all the cities have their own charactor and style.

What do you think of the cities? (feel free to correct the spelling)
Anvil -
Bravil -
Bruma -
Chelynderhal -
Chorrol -
Kvatch -
Imperial City -
Sinngrad -
Leyowen -
Other place -

Hmm.. okay heres my opinion of the cities,

Anvil, the city i got to know the game in. Lovely view from the harbor, 2nd fav city.
Bravil: its a bit shappy but i like all the wooden structures
Bruma, My favorite city! i love the viking/norse styles houses and names. Like all the wood carvings and great halls and such. Olavs tap and tac serve a super chilled mead!
Cheydinhall, very pretty city.. but nothing special..
CHorrol, Also a pretty city. i like the big tree in the round square where the guilds are.
Kvatch, well... not much to look at, i'd like to see it before it got ruined
Imperial city, The biggest city with most to explore, but its a bit to originized for my likings.. Although the waterfront is nice.
Skinngrad, Nah, dont like it very much. but the vinyards outside are pretty
Leahwin, The last city i explored and i think its kinda poor looking, i little weed overgrown and such.

I fonud a beutiful couple of lakes conected via waterfall next to a large Ayled(SP?) ruin called, er, Solin or something like that. Unfortunately it's wurrounded on three sides by that dumb you cannot go any farther. I must have that removed....

The door is also locked by magic, I hope there isn't a quest as it would be an excellent spot to rebuild an Ayled ruin and restore it to it's full glory. It's south of Castle Skingrad. (or is it north? anyways, it's the opposite direction from the city.
EDIT: It's called Silorn.

I really want to put a house there now. Except I can't do that without help. More later.

As you can see the ruin is over there in the distance and did not load yet. I don't have any pics of it as it CTD soon after these shots were taken. You cannot get here without the borders being removed. I propose we build a house on that large ledge my char is standing on, some landscaping is definately needed, to provide a safe path to the house and also if you go swimming in the river below the falls you are in for a very looong swim unless you fast travel.

There would also be a significant underground area of the house too, well, not that big, but not small either.

Also I'd like to put in an elevator. And maybe some kind of gondola or somethnig outside....

The Aled ruin rebuild is too big of a project for me to become ivolved in, except perhaps as a beta tester.

Who wants to help?

Those water falls remind me of a river in Pennsilvania. A section of it was called the "tubs". It had a pool --> fall --> pool --> fall --> pool --> big fall --> pool and back to a river.

I've seen pictures set ups like that. I'd like it to be in the game, hmmm, well, the undergorund area just got bigger (indoor swimming pool)

EDIT: Actualy, I changed my mind, it will be a get away from it all with comforts house. I think for a excellent house a good view of Cyrodil would be nice, Chieftess has been looknig at those spots, I'd love to help on any house project.

I've started a new game with a clean install and carefully selected mods.
I started by delivering the amulet of kings in Chorrol, and then enlisted in the mage guild and warrior guild there.
Then, I started my trip to find fingers of the mountain. On my way up, I explored two caves, and then, some Ayleid ruins, that I decided to explore. It was a bit tough with lots of vampires, but I manage to survive (I was level 4 and the time). And there, near a skeleton, I found this lovely weapon

Here it's me in the arena, using it against a poor wood elf with a knife :D

The weapon is not enchanted, but deals some good damage, and really looks cool.

Do you remember the name of that ruin? I love collecting the rarer weapons.

The thing I don't like about most of the weapons is that they don't have SHEATHS. It looks silly. The sheaths look like a just a "Oooh, let's put these in for the 1h blades and leave the rest up to the modders". Meh, at least they did some.

I think it might be a Mage's Guild quest.

Ah well. I want to build a cottage on that ledge anyways.

Now to figure out to use the editor.

EDIT: I'll also have to put in a small shrine outdoors with a few graves, in honur of a fellow forumite from another forum who died yesterday.

Thank you. Though the editor's basic controls have not changed much frm morrowind (not that I'd really know).

"YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THIS BEFORE WE CAN START."

"Believe it or not you have just done your first mod. It is a mod that shifts the position of a beer mug in Weynet Inn. Ok it’s a pointless mod, but it is a mod nonetheless for that."

Things for the cottage:
find location Road to Silorn
Landscaping
path to house
path to river
Find a nice looking building to use
Interior rooms
interior decoration
Garden
Shrine
Firepit thing outdoors/patio area
think of a name

When I fiddled with that section, I put the Umbra Sword (or was it the Ebony Blade?) on the shelf behind the innkeeper. Just don't move her Sigil Stone!

I do remember the name of the ruin. But you need Adonnay's mod to get it, it doesn't come with the standard game.
And it has sheaths :)

However, don't forget that it made sense for the larger weapons NOT to have sheat. Sheating a very long blade is probably impossible, it's easier to just attach it on the shoulder with some cord.
