The End of Free Speech in Germany

This law seems stupid but I guess since it exists it must be enforced, otherwise the government would infringe the independence of the judicial system. And that would be undemocratic. But Merkel will repeal it by 2018, which is a good thing as the law is stupid.

Do you know that to support the refugee deal Ankara allows Greeks "invading" islands in the Aegean which are like Turkish territory by treaty and not mere claims ? At least they are sacking officials who declare on the social media that the best Turk is a dead Turk . Apparently the tours to the islands start from 52 € per head ...

It is the other case. Those islands are Greek but Greece is backing down due to the crisis and a lack of competent government. Not to say that Turkish military planes fly over Greek airspace. But yes, the guy who said that about the Turks was an ultranationalist idiot and was both sacked and expelled from the conservative party. But because he said this, it does not mean that suddenly Turkey is the victim and Greece the aggressor (especially considering the geopolitical situation of Turkey and that of bankrupt Greece).

34 defendants are on trial in connection with the murder of Armenian activist Hrant Dink, a Turkish citizen from Istanbul.

However there's some issues with the trial:

Some of those on trial were previously accused of involvement in leaking details of a corruption investigation into President Tayyip Erdoğan’s inner circle in 2013 when he was prime minister.
The corruption investigation was later shelved and opposition MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu said Tuesday’s trial was an attempt to settle scores.
“One side of a power struggle is on trial here,” he said at the courthouse.

greece is not backing out of anything . A noticeable trait of New Turkey is its willingness to give away "national territory" ; the Süleyman Şah Tomb in Syria they abandoned to prove our eternal brotherhood with the seperatists in the ruthless robbery of Syria is to be taken back , with them abandoning their newly occupied plot in Syria to the seperatists . Nobody this side of the shooting line ever thinks Greek "manhood" is like bankrupt .

( the phrase shooting line includes more people than the Greeks )

as for the law thing , German nationals interviewed on Turkish radios suggest that the comedian's first venture was criticism , there was like pressure form Ankara and he openly insulted . He is under German prosecution for the second thing , not the first . And Merkel could have shut up Ankara with one swipe of the hand . But maintaining an aura of invincibility does wonders in maintaining order in Turkey .

^Greece won't be in a war involving Turkey (which i hope won't happen, but looks like it will, r16). For many reasons, but more prominently:

-there is no popular sentiment here to go to war, our population has faults, but is not bloodlust prone
-we have nothing to gain, even if stuff happen and Turkey loses territory, we would be given such territory by default, no others near (only Bulgaria heh)
-risk army (ala risk fleet) should suffice to keep us out of that

Anyway, as you can note, i am very tired with all the crap here and elsewhere. War is never funny, and i sincerely hope you won't be in the middle of one, r16. At least you are in Bursa, so you can (easily?) just move to the european part which probably won't be in a war in the first place.

who's afraid of the war in the first place ? Not me , especially ı am either too old to be involved , let alone being even capable of fighting . Or ı have battalions of AT-ATs , Rohirrim Cavalry and Uruk Hai of Isengard , the entire Starfleet , enough static Tomcat replicas to make Top Gun II without Tom Cruise and the lot . And you wouldn't believe how tiresome it is to keep ranting on how and why we will scorn the US into oblivion . But then the Ergenekon conspiracy has gone down a further notch , for which naturally am not accused and accursed one bit . The candidate US general for the command of NATO forces or something says he will like understand Turkish concerns when the US Congress and stuff approves of his command and even former German President reminds his Army has lots of people with Turkish extraction , that's why Bundeswehr like performs . We will see when ı drop by Berlin to plant a different red flag over their new Parliament building .
