Movie seven (or is it eight?) is in theaters now.

One of the longest running, best selling movie franchise of all time.

Thank you for letting me finish, Kayne.

I think it is a great franchise that just keeps getting better. It's got everything, fast cars; hot women; empowered women; meaningful discussion of multiracial and -ethnic relationships in the US; explosions; hot, empowered women; good acting; and a strong faith based family-centric moral message.

I haven't seen Furious Seven yet, but I hear it is the most furious, and fastest, yet. Because science says so.

What do you think of it?

Seems to me like it's GTA: the Movie Series. Might explain the popularity.

If there's a relationship between the two then I'm sure it is not the tail wagging the dog.

Just saw 7 because Statham is in it. Left the theater, worst movie I've ever seen.

...and yet.

I had the misfortune of watching the first movie. I had the small consolation of having watched it with car guys and engineers who were nearly apoplectic by the end. You see, the best thing about Star Trek technobabble is that usually it's just fantasy tripe that you can make up without being wrong enough to break suspension of disbelief. The Fast and the Furious spent a copious amount of time being actively incorrect on things like, well, physics. It's a good movie for people who think they want to try on "being a car guy" for 90 minutes while what they're actually doing is starting at teats.

I haven't seen any of the movies, but judging by the previews, these movies are getting crazier and crazier each time around. By the time we get Fasturious 17, I expect to see dinosaurs riding in cars, smashing into eachother, .. and.. well, I have to admit my mind is just not fast & furious enough to imagine what else they might put in it.

I think it just lost itself. In the beginning, it was all about street racing, and while the first three movies were dumb in varying degrees, it was still watchable and enjoyable as a movie on cars.
The fourth was also decent, but it had less of that street racing vibe.
The fifth was Ocean's 11 with a few cars thrown in the mix. It was fairly good, but only as a heist movie. They even cut the street racing scene for god's sake.
The sixth was... Absolute crap, seemed like a regular action movie which made absolutely no sense. No street racing at all, but the new thing they put in wasn't good either. It's just terrible

I haven't seen the 7th yet, but it seems that since Statham is in, they're going for the Expendables with a few cars like the 6th. I doubt I'll like it.

I love the second one.

If you watch movies just because Statham is in them you've seen some real stinkers, so this would really be saying something.

So I have and yes it does.

Like that one where gangstas cut out his heart, put in a battery powered one and he has to run around looking for something to fix the problem. Meanwhile he has to recharge the bat by hooking himself up to various sources of electricity. A jumper cable on the tongue, another somewhere else...crazy. :crazyeye:

Yeah. so bad its okay. F&F is just bad.
