Three weeks ago, my boss sold the company to another printing firm. Out of twenty employees, only six are going to the new firm - the rest are being let go. (I am one of the six though whose job is safe) The move takes place Dec 1.
In the future, this will mean the end of my ffh2 Poster contests, because most likely, I will not get the free benefit of running my artwork off on the tail end of jobs.
But I was able to run off a final series of mini-posters today (sizes vary from 9'' x 17'' to 10'' x 20'', depending on the image), so I can get a final poster contest in.
In this thread, there will be multiple mini-contests to wrap it all up. And some other goodies in the mix, to be revealed (or not) in each contest.
Here's how it will work.
The basic rules...I will upload a poster image to this thread (which will be the prize for that particular contest) and ask a question (or questions), which you, the forum member will have to answer before a preset deadline. Answers will not be revealed until the deadline.
You can change your answer before the deadline though.
Rules may change per contest though, so pay attention to the rules as I start a new contest.
One entry per contest too. If you do not win, you can enter a later contest. If you win, or have won in my past contests, you cannot enter another contest, because I want other fans to get the posters. The contests are open to all fans and team members. But you have to enter the contest(s) to have a chance.
I'm not going to tell you how many posters I have run off either. So if you are holding out for an image or theme, there is no guarantee that it will be available. Because all of the posters are printed already.
One other sidenote... I am also involved in the Dragonia II project. That Mod will also get it's own set of posters and contests because I was also able to run off posters based on that world. Those contests will happen as we get closer to a release date. Keep an eye on that project.
My holiday gift to the civ4 fanbase...enjoy, and play along. Ask anyone who has won what my posters are like...
