The Future is Now

Actually a meter is 3 ft 4 inches so it would be 5914 feet :D

The future isn't here, or atleast the future I'd like to see. It won't be here until a major nuclear war that wipes out most nations on the Earth and survivors are in deep underground vaults. Pretty much just Fallout would be an interesting future. Maybe then there wouldn't be any hippies or peace protestors because they wouldn't last a minute out in the wastes.

That's an odd future to want to see. And don't underestimate hippies and peace protesters - a lot of us have very good survival skills, are very smart, very resourceful, and very strong. Personally, I'd rate my odds at the very top of those who would survive any catastrophe, but that doesn't mean I want to see it. I try not to be psychotic.

Because of some of the recent problems, it's hard to remember that the world is a lot safer than it was 20-60 years ago. Terrorism is a vague threat, and therefore feels very unsafe, but the threats of a Soviet-US nuclear war were very real and more "threatening", as were the threats in WWII and every war or situation in between. Awareness and fear of terrorism has risen greatly, but the threat from it really hasn't.

The future is about building cities on the moon, mars, and sea floor.

I wasn't implying anything about your survival skills. I was implying most of your kind to have an inherent inability to stand up and fight with the intention to kill. If you know anything about Fallout, you would know that there is no room for people who don't believe in violence in that world. By the way, in case someone's confused, Fallout is a game that follows a timeline of the US and China getting into a major nuclear war and plunging the world in a nuclear winter, with survivors scattered around in fallout shelters or deep underground vaults.

I had no idea you were referencing a video game, I thought you wanted to see that IRL.
