Not much reason to think that Trump would go after Hunter, of all people. He didn't go against Hillary, who was at the time still a figure in US politics.

Maybe Biden was told that a potus Harris would pardon Hunter when the time came. But iirc that video of him saying he won't pardon him is from before there was talk of replacing him.

Just alluding to Trump being all talk with Hillary ("lock her up" etc), an actual political figure. So it is likely that he/his people were all talk about Hunter - a non-political figure - too.
Trump possibly only cared about Hunter as long as the cases helped him get elected.

Oh, he undoubtably only cared because of self-interest, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't want to do something - so long as it helped him.

I have read some semi-credible conspiracy theories about Hunter's pardon is related to sudden developments in global geopolitics and how they are related to many US politicans. So it's not completely baseless. It's also related to why Trump did not go on the attack.

Still, I like to believe in the simplest explanations. Joe Biden is old, has dementia, and made a serious judgment error. That's it.

Hunter Biden should leave the United States, change his name, and live in obscurity. Too many people will point fingers at him, hey look, daddy saved you...

Agree. But at this point everyone is grasping at straws.

Why can't Hunter just spend a couple of years in jail and then start again like a man?
 
Hunter may be many things, but capital M man? Ship sailed on that one long time ago, seems. The sea they swim in kills men. Washington breeds something... lesser.

But this isn't news. I think I've been saying it for years. Dunno why it seems so shocking from a long boat ride away.

There's speculation/suggestions that Congress could call Hunter to testify about a variety of things (things not mentioned of course).
Since he's been pardoned, he cannot claim the 5th on any events during those 10 years*.

* only for things that might have federal charges. A prez pardon does nothing for possible state charges.

Other thing I was right about: stock on up popcorn (no matter which side yer on, left right or whatever).
(unless yer the delicate type, then you may want antacids) :P

Isn't it obvious they could force him to testify about things?

The problem right now with the US right now is that too much of the general public, and the politicians as well, all believe in fairy-tales, conspiracy theories – make-believe-stuff. They could force him to turn up to testify about whatever BS they make up – including the entirely made-up stuff.
 
made up stuff like he has a share in some company that owns parecels of land or mines or service companies or whatever in Ukraine , first encouraged by Putin when Ukraine was not planning to join EU , let alone NATO . Like he has been assured of more . Including foremost dig at seized Russian money in the banks . It is awesome spectacle to attack criminals who abuse the State . We have seen that in Turkey , you know . The courts actually need nothing real . Who will now assure the CFC that all such things are lies ?
