The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Your crew will be perfectly happy when there's 1000 gold per man. You can sail the seas into the 20th century and beyond if you have that ratio.

It also helps to have food.

Alright, thanks a lot! I'll ask for it for Christmas now. =) It seems pretty bangin'.

You should see if you can try it out first, though. JamesCaesar tried it and failed so bad that he started saying ridiculous things about me for recommending it.

OHEY I COULD COME TO YOUR HOUSE WITH IT

Assassin's Creed III. I bought it now to give it ample time to download, since it is fairly large (>17GB.) The hard part will be not playing it if it finishes before my essay is completed.

I gotta say... I had read a lot of good things about Hotline Miami. Didn't expect to like it, looked like a browser game of a frustrating style that I would hate... But there was something appealing about the theme of the game and the mad violence I saw. I bought it on a whim, and it's a lot of fun. I already went through the game twice. The music and action and colors and speed just make it incredibly satisfying. You keep dying, I thought it'd be annoying, but the respawn is instantaneous and the levels short so it's really part of the game. There's a lot of stuff to collect and try. Recommended, especially if you have a soft spot for things with 80s themes.

Awww too late my parents already bought it, but I doubt I'll regret asking for it. Lord knows I can't regret much more than asking for Sonic: Colors for Christmas. We should still hang out and do Pokemon, though. Seriously, we should.

I've been playing Pirates! obsessively, and now I don't know what to do. I'm a Duke with all nations, I've rescued my family, I've fought the evil Maquis and the evil Baron more times than I can count, and I've gotten married. Wife still mocks my dancing, though. My fleet is composed of prize ships (one from Henry Morgan, one from Raymondo, one from Montaban, the other my sloop), and my crew are almost all guys who joined me after taking down 7 of the 10 most-feared pirates in a row, so they're an elite on a fleet of elites. I've gotten all of the pirates. I guess I can try to find Montaban's hideout, but that seems tedious...so I started a new game as a French captain.

As luck would have it, I ran out of crew and had to surrender.

Since all of my serious tests are done, I got Far Cry 3 to scratch the stealth/open-world itch I was having. I shall only say one thing: tigers suck.

Just picked up CK2 with all of its DLC.

edit: not quite all the DLC.

I've just sunk 4 hours into Eador: Genesis.
If it continues like that, then it seems to have been well worth it :D.

Now...that became pretty fast repetetive :(.
Still not a too high cost per hour, but I hoped it would last longer :/.

As anyone with a PS2 or XBox will tell you, yes. Very yes.

Got the Chaos Edition of Blood Bowl....not much new content over the Legendary edition, but I am a bit of a sucker for Chaos Dwarves with their big hats and amazing beards

If you don't share my love for silly hats, it's not really a worthwhile upgrade...underworld is really just skaven + goblins + more mutations and no gutter runners, and the Khorne team is just a bit....odd
