Metro 2033 is a great game, you should enjoy it. Protip:

Make sure you have a gun that shoots arrows before you get to Polis (it makes the next area less difficult (without that gun, the next area can be extremely hard), and buy all the mask filters you can (each one gives you more filter time, so try not to run too much or spend too much time with the mask on).

I keep finding arrow heads but don't have a weapon for them yet. I thought they were some type of special currency up until now. Is, say, 15 filters a good amount to carry around?

I didn't really get a "new" game, but I downloaded PDM after all my vanilla Vicky2 saves got corrupted when I had to reinstall the game. So far I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be.

Since the Steam sale is still going, I'll post what games I got but haven't played when it's over.

I just beat From Dust. Pretty fun overall, but the AI of the villagers made me inflict harm upon my surroundings a few times, not to mention some really ridiculous situations I half got myself into and half because lava sucks. I'm seeing landscapes being formed before my eyes right now. Tetris effect, huzzah!

Looks like Feb 7, for Diablo 3. Its probably right one press-review said it was very polished already. I think Im gonna be there still kind of good memories from Diablo 2 if its still addicting, dont let the simple gameplay fool you.

DF is amazing in its complexity and what you can do in it, and (largely unintended) humour. In that it beats out many non-inde games too. However, Bastion does trump it in art, music and narration

Bastion is my game of the year. Most love it for the narration, I love it for the song.

Gameplay is always foremost in a game though.

Bastion's gameplay is decent and, most importantly, fun, but as it was designed for the xbox 360 it isn't very complex or deep.
