Which reminds me, I still need to DL at least two games from that and try them out...

I got Metro 2033 for £3 in the Steam sales. I hear it's a good game though rather short and linear. Can't complain for £3 though.

Best linear shooter I've ever played, I don't remember how long it is but it is at least 8 hours. Played through it twice in a row and one more time again recently and I will likely play through it again next year.

Speaking of metro, the STALKER games are on today's daily special! Along with the most enjoyable Mount&Blade games, and Arkham City.

One of the achievements for today is to simply join the sale's official steam group, I got Osmos as a gift.

Most people seem to have traded coal for coal, or valve coupon for valve coupon (i.e. not really trading anything), and it still works for the achievement.

Despite getting it on launch day, I just beat Skyward Sword. I rest all of the blame upon CFC.

Story in general
Hook Beetle
Music (duh)
Link's design (earrings were a neat contrast to all the green, chainmail, etc)
Mogmas
Skyward Strikes
Pirate ship (although I got lost in the dungeon a few times...)
Timeshift stones
That rope chase in Ancient Cistern
Zelda has a personality!
Probably some other stuff that's overshadowed by the following (or I didn't notice because it was seamless)

Things I didn't like:
Zelda's hair - aside from those purple things on the front (purple doesn't look good on yellow), it looked completely solid. This bugged me the entire game.
Motion control and enemies that could block at funny angles. I would sometimes think I was doing a diagonal slash, but it would be horizontal or vertical (or vice versa). The biggest offender was when I tried to do a stab, but I would nudge the nunckuck a bit and end up doing a freakin' spin attack
Flying didn't play as big a role as it could have. Good thing, too, because the controls were a bit jerk at times
Harp - learn a handful of songs that play literally the same way
last boss fight - I may have had two guardian potions and a potion medal, but the fight didn't even last 3 minutes. The first part was a bit hard, but I expected as much. The second part involved me flailing the Wiimote like it was a newspaper and I was trying to kill a particularly irksome fly and not getting hit ONCE.
Imprisoned fights (specifically the second fight and first 1/3 of the last fight) - it blocked the air vent I wanted to use 50% of the time, so I would have to go the long way around, which would usually mean I had to fell it an extra time because I ran out of time. This is not a good way to do a timed boss, Nintendo
Fi coming up and telling me crap I already knew or could already tell (shoulda been more optional). She was still better than Navi, though...
How the game told me what treasure or insect I just picked up is after I just turned the game back on, even though I already had 34 of the damn things
Dodoh and his awful, luck-based minigame. Even when I said "No, I don't want to play your stupid game!" he would call me a coward and laugh. I am going to kill that evil gay clown if it's the last thing I do!
